A few things to know that are not specified in the instructions: 1) flip the tub spout over so you can easily install the kit in its underside, and 2) you need to apply significant pressure to the pin to snap it into place between the two white prongs. I was worried the prongs would break, but they held up well to the pressure. Once you know these two things, installation takes less than 5 min...

The washer is lower than the plastic holder to insert it in. So it can’t mate with the foot valve to stop the water flow. What are they thinking!
