Faucet Repair

Faucet started dripping a few months ago. I replaced the rubber washers but that didn’t seem to help. I went to Lowe’s in Mt. Juliet and walked to the faucet isle there was a book with a list of different faucets. I found my faucet, purchased the kit and have been leak free ever since.

Delta Leak Repair

Easy to install but needs a bit of waterproof grease to make a smooth operation.

Not made to OEM specification

The black plastic shoulder and the white inset that fits on the ball are very slightly thicker than OEM. Just enough that I couldn't stop the drip coming out of the handle area. I talked with Danco Customer Service and they suggested I buy the OEM directly from Delta and to take the faucet apart so that I could return the parts back to Lowes, and purchase only the springs and spring covers, being that those are the parts I wanted to use anyway. Delta parts fit Pfister {take parts to Lowe's}

Excellent replacement parts. Lowe's associate said Delta parts would work and they did. Didn't have to buy a new faucet. I had to replace leaking Pfister faucet parts. I did have to use the old springs because the new springs were too strong. But everything is working perfect. Take the old parts with you so you get a perfect match at Lowe's and the associate can see the old parts.

Leak worst then drip

Had drip.Purchased kit ended up with leak. Replaced entire unit.

Faucet Repair Kit For Delta

I bought the repair kit to replace one that was leaking and it looked like the one that came out of our faucet, but the new ball did not fit the one that came out of our handle, but we were able to use some of the other parts to get it fixed. so by not being able to use the ball, it really was not worth what I had to pay for it

Sink leaked worse than when I started

Old faucet parts wore out, bought this @ Lowe's. Installed as directed and seals did not seat right. Leaked worse than when I started. Bought factory replacement parts and they fit better with no leaking at all.

Buy the Delta kit instead

The kit came with 2 different sets of water seals. Neither fit. I ended up replacing everything but the seal and the nylon ring, which didn't fit either.

Don't use silicone

I notice some folks use silicone on the assembly when rebuilding. You don't use silicone on these rebuilds. It will leak every time. When purchasing a repair kit, you should find your model on the Peerless site and pull up the support schematics for the repair kit number and purchase the exact replacement parts. You should not have any problem if you do this.

Not the same as OEM Product

Shower control was difficult to operate so thought I would replace valve parts, after completing work valve was not any better, went to another source, found OEM replacement parts, valve operates like brand new.

INSTALLATION

PAY ATTENTION TO HOW YOUR OLD ONE COMES APART AND YOU WONT HAVE ANY TROUBLE PUTTING THE NEW PARTS IN AND.............NOT HAVE IT LEAK WHEN YOU BUTTON IT UP.. MINE WORKED FLAWLESSLY THE FIRST TIME I TURNED THE WATER ON. THE ONLY DRAWBACK I HAVE WITH THIS SETUP IS IT DID NOT INCLUDE ANY SILICONE TO APPLY TO THE "BALL" (AS STATED IN INSTRUCTIONS) PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. THIS WILL REQUIRE ANOTHER TRIP TO A STORE TO GET SOME.

Product quality issue

Having installed a few of these, I was unpleasantly surprised that the new ball in the package was welded so poorly that it wouldn't seal, and, the white plastic piece wouldn't mate-up with the seal so I had to use some of the old parts with some of the new
