Would RecommendJust bought this saw but haven’t used it yet. My first impression is that is HEAVY. Not what I expected. I have a Milwaukee corded Sawzall and this weighs about the same. I was pleasantly surprised that it uses a tool-less blade change. Flip the lever on the side and pull the blade out. Easier than the Milwaukee tool-less blade change.
I use a 5ah battery for a lot of cutting
I like how heavy duty tye saw is. Much better then any off brand version of owned before

Would RecommendReliable, Powerful, and durable. Like past Dewalt products, this newer version doesn’t disappoint. As a bonus, aftermarket batteries can be had to replace the ancient ones that are just starting to fail on me (we’re talking 10yrs of regular use, residentially, and they literally just starting to fall apart). Love having these in my garage along side their yard equipment which all uses the same batteries.

It’s solid so far but you can’t change the cutting direction like you can in other models.

Powerful saw
Would RecommendBought this for home projects. The first project was installing a new kitchen sink. The saw has tremendous power and cut through wood and tile effortlessly. While Dewalt tools are generally more expensive, my conclusion thus far is you get what you pay for and I recommend this tool!
Buttery smooth cuts through any home surface
Would RecommendProduct cuts through things like butter. Thus far, been using it with diablo blades to cut up large tree branches and bushes, as well as chop up some old cabinets into pieces for more compact disposal. The light on the front is great, super bright and directs light to exactly where you need it. Was able to continue chopping safely in the pitch dark winter afternoon. The guide rail works great to keep smooth operation no matter what angle I tackle a project from. Able to keep it tightly presse...

get a power boost without a 60V battery
Would RecommendXR Power Detect is a great way to get a power boost without leaving the 20V Max platform. Simply by using an 8.0Ah battery, you get a big power boost. The saw works great with any 20V max pack, even the 2.0Ah for quick jobs where the lighter-weight battery is more convenient. The saw doesn't feel underpowered, but there is a noticeable change when you get to the 8.0Ah.
Good saw
Would RecommendGood quality, solid build. Works great and batteries last quite a while with use. Only complaint is this is much wider than my old 18v, so it doesn't fit in my "Dewalt Drawer" in my tool chest. About .75" wider than old 18v saw was. A lot heavier too, making one-hand use near impossible. That said, still a great saw and the battery life is noticeable improvement over brush-based saw.
