Would RecommendI like the weight & power of the XR Power Detect. The weight is balanced & keeps steady to aid in creating clean & steady cuts. I have cut roots out of the ground with it so far & it mows eight through them. I recommend using this with the larger batteries since it gives it an extra power boost when you need it most. The design is very ergonomic & fits well in your hands.
Powerful tool
Would RecommendCut a hole in my roof for a wood stove pipe within 10 minutes of bring it home. It works very well.

Solid, powerful, lacks a few features
Would RecommendThis is a sturdy and powerful unit that should be more than capable of any "professional homeowner's" needs. It is overkill for most applications and the tradeoff is in size and weight - this is not compact or one-handed. This unit lacks the reciprocation and the adjustable shoe found on the (imo superior) Kobalt XTR and other competing products.
