Worked as expected, plenty of power and battery life

Paddle control definitely worth it

Wasn’t sure if the extra price for the paddle control was worth it, but it was. Being able to start and stop with one hand is definitely worth it and safer. The clutch stopping the rotation fairly fast is also a comforting factor as I was using it. Glad I got the paddle version.

Great grinder! Has plenty of power so no complaints there at all! It does seem to go through batteries fairly quickly so if i was using this professionally in a shop I would probably want a corded. That being said for for what I use it for here in my garage its seldom i have a job big enough that i have to switch batteries to complete something. I say buy it!

Worth the money

Nice heavy duty grinder. Used it for a half hour to cut wire cable and still had full battery. Very impressed.

Tool Doesn't Come with Major Safety Feature

The DCG415 angle grinder comes with a Type 27 guard needed for grinding. But, half the value of the tool is for cutting which requires a Type 1 guard. Watch some YouTube safety videos on grinders to appreciate the importance of having this guard if your blade ever breaks while using (an extremely dangerous event). And,the Dewalt owner's manual emphasizes the same. However, it shows no part # and neither Dewalt's website or any of its retailers sell it or reference the Type 1 guard for this mo...

Great Grinder

Feels great in the hand, easy to hold paddle-switch, and easily repositioned guard. I haven't gotten to use this much yet, but I prefer the paddle-switch over a trigger for when you have to change hands or hold it in a weird way to fit in a tight space. It's nice to be able to use 5" discs too, and being able to just spin the guard around without fiddling with clamps is pretty cool.
