What Customers Are Saying
The shear attachment is generally effective at cutting through various metal materials, with users praising its performance and ease of use. The swiveling head allows for good maneuverability. However, some users reported issues when cutting corrugated or ridged metal surfaces, as the tool struggled to cut across the ridges. A few customers also found the attachment to be smaller than expected or had trouble fitting it properly on their drills. Overall, the attachment appears to be a useful tool for many metal cutting tasks, though it may not be suitable for all types of materials.

Works well on straight, flat metal.
Would RecommendI bought this to cut some barn siding (pro-rib) panels. It works well when making a straight, flat cut, but struggles when trying to cut (rip) over the ribs.

job saver withTrue straight cuts
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had two large jobs to do needing shears. One was installing FRP walls in a dog wash room for Canine Companions. What a time saver ! No more trying to make straight cuts with a razor knife or melting the edges using any power tool with a blade. Absolutley cut my time in half making me more money. LOVE THIS ATTACHMENT !!!

Works Great!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a gas fireplace installer. This tool is extremely handy when cutting chimney caps to fit. It can make tight corners, as well as cut clean straight lines. This is a very handy attachment for anyone cutting thin metal.

stopped working
Would Not RecommendBut when it was working did good. a little diffcult over ridges but better than a pair of shears.
Cuts FRP!
Would RecommendUsed these to cut 8 foot sheets of Frp down. Had no issue cutting the entire 8' length in one smooth pass. Does require a slight push to get going but once it's in an inch or so its smooth sailing. Cheap, worked great for multiple cuts, compact and a good addition to the tool box if I have any thin sheet metal to trim. Would use again on FRP but I'm never doing FRP again so ... :)
Rips right thru
Would RecommendRips right thru the metal. Better on flat surfaces than bumps

Great for a WIDE variety of tasks
Would RecommendI bought this for and have used it for everything. from opening those nightmare clamshell packages, for re-screening, cutting carpeting, wire mesh, vinyl fence weave, steel framing, aluminum work, and really so much more. I found with this great alternative to a dedicated 18G tool. Although it doesn’t replace by any means it does what I need it to and being it’s an accessory(not nearly as expensive as a shearing tool) I’m not as serious about what I use it to cut within reason of course.
