More power than I was expecting

This Jig is actually more powerful than corded Jigsaws that I've used in the past. Several feature are built in that make it a great saw. It can blow the dust out of the way of the cutting blade for you to see the line, the blade is adjustable for a more aggressive cut, no-tool blade changes, Angle cuts, and even comes with a no-mar pad for the foot. Excellent tool!

Awesome Jig

replaced an old Craftsman's jigsaw with this and I an impressed. has a lot more power and best of all it's cordless.

Very Powerful

I was renovating my sister in laws basement. We were down to cutting the countertop to install the sink. My old jigsaw, (not a dewalt) crapped out on me. I already owned the Dewalt 20v Max DR impact driver and the 20v Max compact drill kit, so buying this was a no brainer. I was blown away by the power this saw has. We finished the job in no time.

Best jigsaw used

Bought this yesterday, wasn’t to sure about it but after using it, it’s the best jigsaw hands down. Needed to make some intricate cuts for framing a Cormier style roof and this Saw came in handy while cutting in place on a roof 35’ up with little area to work. Only bad thing is, it doesn’t come with a battery.

20v cordless jig saw

I am a General Contractor, and have purchased a number of 20v dewalt tools. Really impressed with this one. I have been using it on TREX decking, as well as on wood. I have nothing negative to say about it. I love the way the blade changes, but also the way it runs, and cuts is impressive. Buy one. RR

The most comfortable jigsaw

I love it! It is the most comfortable jigsaw that I've ever operated. And the dust blowing feature just adds to the pleasure

Cordless for Pergo Premium install

Cuts well and does what I expected. Battery life is OK - not great - can cut about dozen Pergo Premium boards or strip 2. Already had several batteries and chargers so a quick swap and back in action. For a single job, jig only Pergo install is bearable - would love to have had a chop & table saws, but a blades were $100+ for laminate. Dewalt jig blades (separate review) lasted about equal to 4 batteries, go with the specialty blades.

Great product

I had a corded one for a while , this thing build much better then the corded dewalt, has a blower in front so you can see your cut line. I used it to cut out a countertop for undermount sink, beautiful .

Fantastic Jigsaw

I have been quickly replacing all my tools. This go around I've picked the Dewalt 20v Max and XR series if it is available. This thing works like a dream for outstanding maneuverability.

A BIG step up from my 34yr old B&D

Treated myself to a new Jigsaw after 34 years... I strongly believe that this one will outlast me and my children... No tools needed for blade changes and adjustments. Seems rugged enough for a contractor... I really like it! Looking forward to using it more!

Excellent Saw

I scan reviews looking for problems people have had, and usually ignore the positive reviews except to note their number. But I wanted to review this unit in particular because it really is excellent. Easy to use, good feel, it makes jigsawing almost fun. The variable blower on it is very helpful for keeping an eye on the line you've drawn. The battery placement looks a bit awkward but does not significantly off-balance the saw. Awesome power

This one is a no-brainer. It has a great control and great power. I like that the blade stops instantly when you let off the trigger instead of having the wind down effect. I mostly use it to notch out 1/2" OSB around drainpipes and duct work. When using it with a guide to rip, the blade holds very true and straight even when applying a little more pressure than is needed. Great for the commercial construction work I do outdoors. So far very durable. I have almost 2 years on my first one and just bought another for my other truck. Paired with a 5AH battery it works great. Will run thru the smaller batteries pretty quick depending on what you are cutting.

Blade Sometimes Falls Out

A nice jigsaw, except the blades sometimes falls out. I first put a coarse blade in, and it worked well. I decided to switch to a finer blade (all blades are Dewalt brand), and that's when the problems started. It wouldn't pull out by hand after inserted it, but a couple seconds after hitting wood, it would come off. After much consternation, I went back to same the coarse blade - it worked better but now occasionally falls out. It's possibly the blade, but the design just holds it in by a litt...
