Would Recommendi bought for the drill alone ...i didnt expect the impact to be so strong....i used for 5 days at work before recharging over the weekend......charges are quick....the tools are comfortable and the lights are super bright
GREAT COMBO KIT
Would RecommendI had someone advise me not to get 12-volt - would not be enough power but this is a great set and would recomment to anyone. Lightweight is a real plus!

So far so good!
Would RecommendI was originally going to go for an 18V, but the next best rated DeWalt 18V was the XRP with the hammer drill for $329. I don't do that much with masonry, so thought that would be overkill for my needs. For $199, I got this 12V set and with the special that Lowe's is running now through December, it came with an extra battery for free ($49 value), which means you get three batteries in total. You can also choose a free work light instead of a battery, if you prefer. So far the 12V has been more ...
Excellent
Would RecommendI was looking at different 12v sets for those times when you just don't need the power of the 18v sets. After trying a bunch of different sets in stores I settled on this set because it just felt right in my hands. I couldn't be happier with the set. Since buying it I haven't touched my 18v stuff. This has more than enough power and run time to handle 90% of jobs. Now my only wish is that DeWalt will come out with more tools for this 12v line.
I absolutely love them!
Would RecommendI went looking for a drill that was light weight and convenient to use for installing switches receptacles etc....I seen the drill and love it and thought 139 dollars was a decent price so put it in the buggy. Then as was leaving noticed this set. I didn't really need an impact driver, but I figured for 60 more bucks why not. After getting the set home and getting it out of the package noticed the light so decided to play with it a bit. I had super strong magnets and it is one of the brightest l...
Great combo kit
Would RecommendThis has to be the best drill combo that I have purchased. I honestly can't say a bad thing about the drills, however, I wish the battery charger had a hole through it so you could mount it on the wall. These drills are lighweight, comfortable to hold, and pack some punch for as small as they are. I bought the combo for work and picked up the extra battery that dewalt offered for free. I use them almost every day, the impact more often, and have been thinking about getting a set for the house. I...
Absolutely Breathtaking 12V Drills
Would RecommendI only owned these drills for about 3 days before someone smashed in my windows and stole all of my tools, but I've been using these drills for months with my co-workers. These drills last a fantastic amount of time, the power under these hoods are comparable to the 18V big boys. The impact drill was able to run several dozen 3/8" Lag Bolts into wood with a 3/16" pilot hole. The driver is able to keep up with the demands I throw at it, boring holes in trussing with pilot & unibits. Love these th...

impressed
Would RecommendI just finished using this to install a fence and for a 12v it had lots of power I drove a 3 inch screw into a 4x4 no problem. This is a grate set the only thing is for $50 more you can upgrade to the 18v version and I wish I would have bought that just to have more power but all in all this is a grate set and for a 12v it has more power then other drills.
Underpowered
Would Not RecommendAfter perusing the consumer reviews at Lowe's I decided to give this 12v set a try as a replacement for my DeWalt 18v impact driver. I'm a homeowner, probably more handy than most, and I've used DeWalt 18v for about 5 years. First project with this set was my sister in law's bathroom. After demo I used the 12v impact driver to attach hardybacker to wall studs. The driver struggled mightily with 1 5/8" screws. I spent about 10 minutes with the impact driver and about 10 seconds with the 12v drill...

Compact, powerful, and a real value
Would RecommendJust used the impact driver to replace loose nails in deck stairs with 3 inch #9 decking screws. The unit is small enough to hang off my belt with the included hook and not hit while I sat on the stairs pulling the loose nails. It then made short work (I'm tempted to say made a joke of) driving the screws home. It felt like if I'd wanted to I could have driven the screw head clen through the 2 x 6 stair treads. I am going to enjoy projects even more with this compact, yet powerful combo. I'm gla...
best in class
Would RecommendI have used all other compact lithium- ion systems of 12 volt type. Dewalt is simply the best. !!
Unbeliveable!
Would RecommendI have worked in the home and commercial maintenance business for years and thought I had the best drill in the business. That would be Dewalt's 18v series of tools. Well when I took a chance on this "little toy drill" I could not believe it would do almost anything my big drill would. You won't believe it either!
great deal worth it
Would Recommendbattery life is good, power is better than older 12 volt models, the led to illuminate are just awesome, comes with tool bag, a lot smaller than the old 12 volt models with both the drill and impact in the bag along with three batteries and a charger weigh less than the older 12 volt with one battery, really impressed with the little combo kit. This review is coming from a builder who uses this everyday.
More power than expected
Would RecommendI'm glad I decided on the 12 volt kit. The impact driver has enough power to break the head off a standard screw if you don't pre-drill. The batteries last longer than I expected and charge up quickly. I also like the bag that comes with the kit instead of a hard case. The metal clips on the bottom of the impact driver and drill are very convenient to quickly hang on a belt or pants pocket. I have already used the impact driver enough to appreciate the light that makes seeing inside a cabinet or...
compact lightweight all the power you need love it
Would RecommendI have alot of cordless tools but this is my pick! I love it does everything that all of my bigger one,s do! I just wish that i had bought it sooner! I love it!
Don't let the size fool you!
Would RecommendI have been using dewalt 18v tools for years, when I came across these little guys I thought how cutte, I just had to have them. I put them to the test on a remodel and they have been great. They seem to have all the power that the 18v tools have and they only take 20-30 mins to charge.
