The last thing I needed was one more thing in my kitchen! I’ve been interested but put off this one for years. Now I don’t know why. My life is better and less stressful for it. Failed on third use

First couple of loaves came out ok. Third loaf, which was following the rye bread recipe in the book, came out like a rock. Almost as if there had been no kneading. Upon further investigation, i found metal shavings in the bottom of the chamber. After that, every attempt to make a loaf failed. Each loaf came out half size and clearly hadnt been kneaded properly. So, in short, if it wouldve stayed working properly, I'd have been happy with it.

I’ve used this bread maker several times in the last 6 weeks. I love that it can be used to make both homemade breads and bread mixes. The bread tastes wonderful every time, and I’ve used some of the recipes that came with the machine!

Small size, great bread!

It's the perfect size for our two-person household. Its compact size allows it to be stashed away easily when not in use. What we've made in it so far has turned out superbly. Cleanup is a breeze. The only negative is that due to its relatively small size, the outside gets a little hot when it's baking. It's much better than the DAK "R2-D2" bread machine we had previously.

Great on dough setting

I gave 4 for an average score. The machine gets a 5 for dough making, and a 3 for bread baking. I used the bread maker 3 times for the entire process. The bread was hard and unattractive even with adjustments. I decided to use the dough setting for kneading dough and then baking it myself, I am extremely happy. The dough comes out perfectly and makes a beautiful loaf when baked in the oven.

Good, but not a 2 lb bread maker

This is listed as a 2 lb bread maker. It is not. I have been making bread in bread makers for over 30 years now and know what i am doing. My old bread maker , which i still use for lighter breads, has a pan which is suited for 2 lb loaves. The Cuisinart pan is 3/4 the size of my Hamilton Beach pan. I knew my 2 lb recipe would overflow the pan, and it did . You can only use 1 1/2 lb recipes. Do not even bother making THEIR 2 lb recipes. Perfect for newbies — compact, affordable, & easy!

I am a first-time bread machine user, and this is my first bread machine! Research online led me to this affordable model with a small countertop footprint and consistent results. I’m enjoying the recipes that came with the machine quite a lot, too. I know that there are other models with “fancier” features that I could upgrade to, but I feel that this machine is the perfect model for a beginner like me.
