What Customers Are Saying

The Cuisinart 2-Slice Metal Classic Toaster offers a mix of features and performance. It has an attractive design with easy-to-use controls, and can handle a variety of breads and bagels. However, some users report issues with uneven toasting, where one side comes out much darker than the other. The toasting dial is also described as being too loose, making it difficult to achieve consistent browning. While the toaster has versatile settings and a convenient crumb tray, some customers feel it lacks the high quality expected from the brand.

Toasts As a Toaster Should

Would Recommend

Lightweight and easy to use. The deep wells make toasting larger slices of bread a simple task. Actually has an attractive design too. Happy to recommend this product.

Toaster unevenly toasts

I am used to the smart toaster, when the bread is toasting the light from the desired setting starts blinking allowing you to know approximately when the bread is about done and it is evenly toasted. This style is not like that, so it is taking a bit to get used to. However, once you get used to it the bread toasts okay, a bit uneven though. I would not recommend.

This is fantastic appliance for my tiny studio apartment. In addition to its ability to toast and defrost a variety of thicknesses beautifully, it fits on the counter under the cabinets in my super small kitchen in an otherwise unusable space!

Don’t waste your money

Would Not Recommend

Huge waste of money. We have had this toaster for a month and are shopping for a new one. It takes multiple attempts to get the bread to stay down and we have still not found the position on the dial that actually toasts the bread without burning it. Quite frankly it is a piece of junk.

So far so good

Seems like most toasters suffer the same deficiency in that they don’t toast evenly on both sides of the bread. This one seems a little better than the Breville unit that I just tossed out after years of frustration. Haven’t used all the functions on this toaster yet so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I would have liked a light indicator to tell me how close the toasting cycle is to being finished.

A toaster that doesn’t toast evenly.

Would Not Recommend

Very cheaply built. I’d return it for an upgrade but have had it too long. Doesn’t toast evenly, up and down handle to drop item for toasting sometimes works sometimes not. Buyer beware.
