Poor Quality - short life span

This crockpot was pricey and only lasted a little for a year and a half with only using it about a dozen times.

Didn’t Last

Nice crockpot features and size but the heating unit went out in just a little over a year. Mostly used during winter, maybe once every 2-3 weeks. Barely used at all during spring and summer. Disappointed. Would expect better quality with Crockpot

Love this crock pot. Great size. Automatic keep warm when the time is up. Easy digital timer.

Great, but crock cracked and leaks

I loved this slow cooker that I got as a gift last Xmas. However after only a year the ceramic crock has a crack and leaks. Where and how can I get a new ceramic insert?

Not long lasting

Purchased this product Less than four years ago… Plugged it in full of chili and was not heating up.. lights on and nothing

Ceramic bowl cracks too easily

After using this product for years, the ceramic pot cracked along the bottom last year, during cooking. Needless to say, that was a mess. This particular model evidently doesn't have replacement pots available so I was forced to buy another full crock-pot for lets say not a great deal. Although we have been careful not to do anything that would cause it, this new pot has cracked again on the bottom. Cracked while cooking

This crockpot worked well until it cracked while cooking. I am very disappointed. I have always purchased Crockpot brand crockpots and have three different sizes at all times. I have had them stop working in the past but never this quickly and have never had a crock break.

Disappointed

I had the 7 Quart Cook & Carry for two years and the programming piece died. Set everything up that morning before going to work. Unfortunately, when I came home, the meat wasn't cooked. I double checked the temperature settings and tried a different plug. I even thought it may have been human error, but wasn't. It is disappointing the Crockpot lasted a short time.

Attractive unit but crock is weak

We bought this model PVL710 to replace an old unit. It worked well a few times until the crock fractured, rendering the unit useless. Since we were just out of warranty, I am afraid that we are now out-of-luck. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this model.

Only worked once

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this as a gift, used it once and worked great. Went to use it again and it doesn’t work :(. Plugged it in and the screen turns on but it doesn’t heat up at all. Not sure what happened to make it stop working after one use considering I’ve been using an old faithful crock pot brand slow cooker for 12 years! Going to have to consider another brand for my slow cooker needs if I have to replace it after one use!

Stopped working after only a few uses

I purchased this crock pot for my family of 6 and loved the timer setting. Used it for the fourth time and came home to a crockpot full of raw chicken. The heating element does not heat at all on either setting. Very disappointed in this, especially now to see this has happened multiple time and Crockpot has done nothing to fix it and is still selling them.

Stopped working after too few uses.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The electronic controls froze after only 10 uses. It will not provide over 30 minutes of heating. Temperature selection not available. A gift. I would not have bought a programmable one. Too much heat. I have a competitors manual model over 30 years old that works fine. The 30 second reset from the web site did not work.

Temperature varied

I bought the 7 quart cook and carry. I put water in and measured the temperatures. On high, after 3 hours it maxed out at 205 F. On low overnight, it reached 205 F also. On warm it varied between 176 and 201 F. That doesn't seem right to me. Should I return it?

Unfortunately, the instructions say nothing about a replacement parts when the unit stops heating (after only 8 or 10 uses). Guess I have to send it out to the trash. Do not recommend.

Poor Durability

We have owned Crockpot brand slow cookers for 40+ years and this model was the least durable ever. It barely lasted a year and quit working. We are very disappointed. Buy a better quality Crockpot Model.

Owned for approximately 1 year - stopped working

I really liked this crockpot - when it worked. Have probably used it 8 or 10 times in year or so since purchase. Threw a pot of chili on only to find a few hours later, no heat. Product stopped working.

Makes everything dry

I've owned several crockpots and never had the issue of them drying stuff out. I bought this model because I liked the fact that it was programmable. Everything that I have ever cooked in it has always been very dried out. I am so disappointed in this crockpot.

Cooks too hot on low

I got this crock pot as a gift from my daughter. It cooks at too hot of a temperature on low and on warm . The only way for me to use it is to turn it off and on. If I would leave it all day on low , the food would be over cooked. I’ve been using slow cookers for 35 years and worked full time most of those years, with a family, so I have a lot of experience with them.... this crock pot I’ve had a couple years.... and am considering just throwing it out, just doesn’t do the job for me .

Does all the work, but you get the credit for it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite feature is how it turns to "warm mode" automatically after the timer finishes. Its saved my bacon more than once... no pun intended ;) The volume is the perfect amount for my boyfriend and I to get a solid 3 meals each... and our eyes are often bigger than our stomachs. ha. The lid snaps on and seals great. There is no steam leakage or liquid leakage while cooking. For anyone that is concerned, it does not over heat the countertop ...
