Would RecommendGreat tape that does what you need it to do. The locking mechanism stopped working on mine, so I submitted a warranty claim. A week later, a replacement tape showed up in the mail. I don't expect tools to be perfect, but I do expect a company to stand by their products. Crescent Lufkin / Apex proved to me that they do, and I'll always remember that.

I'd have rated it 5 stars and said it was the best tape measure ever, but it the end on my oldest has taken a beating and refuses to hang on to what I hook it to. Otherwise it has held up to drops off of roofs, through ceilings, off scaffolding so it can definitely take a beating. I like it.
