Nice and fits exactly without drilling any new holes to anchor the new thermostat. Very surprise! Easy to install and setup. A few things that would be nice to have - a date and time display, weather, and being able to set the schedule on the unit itself.

Worked For a Year

Worked perfectly for a year. But a little after that, something happened and the thermostat itself started to become hot to the touch even though it had always been hooked up correctly. Because the thermostat itself was getting hot, it wouldn't read the correct temperature in the house.

Requires C-Wire :-(

Check your existing thermostat wires before purchasing!! If there are only two wires. don't buy this thermostat. Despite the product description, and the printing on the box, the thermostat does indeed require a C-wire. They do not reveal this requirement until after you buy the thermostat, install the app, and then hit a Hard Stop in the app questionnaire. I called Sensi tech support, and they confirmed that the digital display and Wi-Fi needs a c-wire. Won't work without it.

This thing constantly resets itself and turns off my heat. I hardwired it as the battery life is a joke. And it still tries to run on the batteries from time to time causing it to reset over and over and not hold the set temp.

Horrible

Maybe I got a bad one but this thing gave me fits for days. The display would randomly shut off then the furnace wouldn't run. Out of nowhere it would turn the display back on then lose the wifi connection. I ran all new wire thinking I had an issue there but that didn't fix it. I finally gave up and bought a Honeywell Home WiFi Smart Thermostat and it works like a charm. It's a shame because I actually like the app for the Sensi better but I was over all the other problems.

I hesitantly purchased this in November 2025 after my Google Nest E smart thermostat failed. I read others' reviews about it constantly losing wifi connection and its flimsy construction. Nonetheless, it was on sale and I needed a replacement fast. As advertised by others, it constantly lost wifi connection, and felt cheaply made.
