Great Shade, Weird Handle, Melty Bottom

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Coolaroo 8 foot Solar Shade keeps my patio from turning into a Texas BBQ pit, so it works. But the handle… why can’t it just attach to the roller instead of being a runaway part I have to hunt down? And that weighted bottom bar gets so hot in the Texas sun it actually makes the fabric bunch and start to melt. Still, it does its job well enough to earn 4 stars, even if it feels like it’s slowly trying to self-destruct.

Easy to install and operate UV blocking shades

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These roller shades were easy to install for someone who does quite a bit of diy. I love how they look and mocha color matches the tone of the wood on my deck. It’s great that they block 90% of the UV rays so I don’t have to worry about my son playing outside and getting sunburnt. They are also easy to operate with the wand. I’d highly recommend getting these to add some style, comfort, and enjoyment to your outdoor area.

Great shade, good quality

Love the dark brown it keeps our patio much cooler. Installation wasn’t the easiest. You do need 2 people and I recommend getting the first bracket where you want it and then put the shade up and place the other bracket and mark the holes other wise it was hard to get it perfect to get good engagement. Of course you need someone to help install it so that’s the only thing but other than that it is easy to operate with the wand.

Incredible Outdoor Shade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was previously using a shade that wasn't quite big enough to cover my entire window, but this does the job. After installing it outside my dining room window, the light coming through got noticeably darker and it really helped keep that room cooler. The wand to roll it up is also super convenient for when it cools down and I want more light and heat to get inside. Overall, an amazing product that looks and works great.

Everything was included: the hardware, clear instructions, and zero stress. In fact, my 72-year-old mother installed it all by herself! Blocks the Sun well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try this! We have a little porch off of our main bedroom and the perfect little chair to relax in, but the morning sun hits it hard. The hardest part was unboxing it. I did need help for a bit installing, but so far I love it!
