I bought The HL8R 3 years ago and use it all hunting season heading in and out of the woods in the dark to and from the stand! Also use it to take the dog out in the dark Vermont winters. There is none better

This headlight is everything I was hoping it would be comfortable and bright and a battery that lasts several days before I need to charge it again and then I have my other backup battery pack I can use during that time if I need to I'm going to enjoy this for years to come.

Awesome light.

I've had my hl8r for several years. 7 or 8 years at least, maybe longer. On medium power it will get me through a regular work day no problem. I use it for work, for hunting, for late night chores. I bought another recently to give as a gift. A bit heavy but it's pretty rugged. Had to replace the elastic after a few years but I use it a lot. If mine ever fails, I'll definitely buy another.

Working man's light.

I've had this Hl8R head lamp for well over a year in every night usage, I really like the 3 way setting for brightness becouse there are times you need more or less in a fraction of a second. This light gets used about 4 hours a night in working conditions in all kinds of weather, very pleased with it. After several weeks the head straps start getting slack in them and have to be tighten back up, but like I said I use this light alot I would recommend this to anybody that needs light to get the...

Reliable

I bought this head light about 6 years ago. It has worked great. As an electrician I use it a lot. I really like the rechargeable battery pack and that you can move it down to your belt. I recently had an issue with the outer wire casing starting to crack. I contacted Coast with a picture of the wire and they replaced it. Awesome customer service.
