What Customers Are Saying
Customers appreciate the sealed packaging and convenient transport with reduced mess compared to loose bales, and many praise its cleanliness. However, significant concerns emerge around contamination—reviewers frequently report sticks, pine cones, leaves, dirt, and sand embedded in bales, falling short of the advertised 99% stick-free claim. Coverage also disappoints some, who find one compressed bag does not equal two traditional bales as claimed. Despite these drawbacks, most customers value the convenience and cleaner appearance enough to recommend it, though quality consistency remains inconsistent.

Would Not RecommendI could tell by the look in the bag they weren't going to be good but I was even more disappointed than I thought I'd be. These needles were all broken up and had more pine cones and sticks than any bales of pine straw I've gotten anywhere. They were a last resort but I won't use them again.
Clean?
Would RecommendI liked the packaging, easy to transport, but as far as it being clean, it was not. Lots of sticks, pinecones and even a rubber inner tube.

Reasonably priced
Would RecommendBy being in a bag, pine straw does not get all over the inside of my car

Can put in my car without getting it dirty
Yes, but this time there were too many pine cones in the bales.

More economical than bales

Clean straw rating.
Would RecommendIt is cleaner than the bales. Not perfect. Still has sticks and pine cones.

This straw is not as clean as they advertis.
Would Not RecommendThis straw is not clean as advertised. I get cleaner staw at a nursery. Ii’s not worth the extra money. I bought 10 bags and was very disappointed. The straw was very trashy. The other 40 bales that I needed I got at my nursery where I get my flowers.
Not clean
Would Not RecommendVery dirty with a lot of sticks. Says 99% clean. Found a crushed beer can in one bail.

Clean but wet.
Pine straw was very clean; no sticks, no cones. However, it must have been left in the rain, because it was wet.

This pinestraw is not as advertised.
Would Not RecommendIt's called "Clean" pinestraw. It's not. Lot's of debris and branches.

Horrible
Would Not RecommendThis stuff used to be good, but now it is garbage. When you open the bags it all disintegrated into dry broken needles and dirt. Huge pinecones and large sticks some 1" thick. It looks like it is 10 years old. Back when it was $9.99 it was long beautiful orange colored needles and clean like they advertise. Purchased 12 bags and spent $175 for dirt and debris. Just like the other reviewers say. Do not waste your money on this stuff.
Good stuff. Really good mulch.
Would RecommendThe vacuum packed straw is more efficient for transporting than the loose bails. Easy to work with.
