Thermometer for Smoking

The thermometer fit into my smoker and gave me an extra reading at the top of the smoker to compare with the reading of the electronic one below it.

My charbroil barbeque didn't come with a thermometer. Drilled a hole on top of the lid and screwed it it. Easy to install and works great. Nice to know the temperature when slow grilling.

Works for me

I own a Weber gold genius that had a long 5” thermometer and could not find replacements anywhere. Probably a safety issues was recognized. Used this charbroil as a modification. Drill small hole in center of hood insert Thermometer tighten nut. Perfect.

Replacement

Redid a BBQ that was given to me and for the price I couldn’t pass it up.

Works as advertised. The original thermometer did not work but this is doing well.

Fine for a universal fit

This Char-Broil thermometer fit differently from the original thermometer on the Char-Broil Gas-2-Coal which was damaged by hail, however it seems to work fine.

Replacement Char-Broil Round Grill Thermometer

Purchased a replacement Grill Thermometer for an older model Char-Broil grill and it fits perfectly. The original thermometer is stuck at 600+ degrees possibly due to its year-round outside exposure. I intend to keep the original in place and only swap in the replacement for situations where "exact" temperatures are required which I have done and it works great.

Temp gauge for grill

It works good. The only drawback is that it only lasts a year then you have to get a new one.

Easy to install and works perfect

Old thermometer on my grill went out bought this one installed in less than a minute.

Simple but accurate

Fit right in as the original replacement. Temperatures are accurate. Cooked some great ribs in my gas grill. Correct temperatures are key.

Description incorrect (actual dial size 3”)

I purchased a 3” Charbroil thermometer for my 20 yr old Charbroil grill at my local store. Unfortunately it did not fit my grill due to proximity of the Charbroil insignia. After searching the website I found this 2” one described thinking it was the one that was sold in stores for many years. Sadly the description is incorrect and this is the same 3” part that my store had (same SKU). Still searching...the old 2” one was great for many years (the old ones typically lasted 5+ yrs)

Not accurate

I purchased this thermometer a couple months ago after the thermometer on my Weber kettle quit working. I needed it at the last minite so I could smoke a pork shoulder for pulled pork and no one had a Weber brand thermometer in stock. After putting it on I got my coals going and after it stabilized I grabbed another thermometer that I know is accurate just to see if they were holding at the same temp. They were not. The Char Broil thermometer is off by 25 - 30 degrees. Not a big deal if you comp...
