COMPLETE PIECE OF JUNK. STAY AWAY FROM IT.

MISSING PARTS AND CHAR-BROIL KNEW THEY WERE MISSING WHEN THEY WERE SHIPPED TO LOWES. ON BACK ORDER UNTIL MID JULY. BBQ CAN NOT BE LITE WITHOUT THESE PARTS. IT TOOK 6 HOURS TO PUT TOGETHER. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE HORRIBLE.

Don't believe the term "universal fit."

Did not fit the grill despite it being billed as such.

So so...

It does not have a ground to allow the arc to jump to it. This always helps the arc ignite the flame.

What I needed

This is what I needed to repair my grill. Was easy to find and order online and used in-store pick up option. Saved me a bunch of time from trying to hunt around the store to find what I needed!

Great Results

I needed a new igniter for my charbroil grill. I could have ordered the exact same thing from Charbroil and payed tax and shipping. I found the exact same thing on Lowe's website and did not have to pay shipping or wait for it to arrive. This unit will work as a power unit if you already have a igniter switch or it will also work as the ignitor switch just by using the screw on ignitor button. Universal Igniter Mounting

The igniter works fine, but it is twice as large as the original so doesn't fit in the control panel where the old one did. I mounted it facing down under the control panel which seems to be fine, hopefully it will not come loose, but even if it does we can remedy that. It's just nice to have the igniters all working again.

Great solution with one minor flaw...

This ignition kit was purchased to replace the igniter on my Char-broil gas grill. The installation was quick and relatively easy, but I had to punch out a larger hole in order to get the new starter to fit. It is the only reason I gave it 4 stars, it is otherwise a great purchase so far!

worked perfectly for my grill

I had mine dead and the button was not working either, so I got this kit and it comes with everything you need to make it work either way. Easy to install as well

Bad igniter

The one I got thru the mail was defective. I had to drive to the nearest Lowes (30 minutes each way) to exchange it.
