We bought this product in case we lose power in a storm and need to keep the freezer and refrigerator running. We have not needed it for that yet, but have used it when working in the field and don't have power. It works great and does everything we need it for.

Not what I expected.

I purchased this generator as a replacement. This is the first Champion product that I have owned. I was expecting a very quiet running machine. Being advertised as being 50 percent quieter than others, I figured I could not go wrong. First start was easy. But as loud as most other open framed generator that I use for at work. Run it through the break in, running an air compressor and a heat gun to periodically. No problems with powering either. Have only run it for a. 5 hour break-in. Had I kno...

Great for camping

Great for running our camper AC without driving the neighbors crazy with the noise.

Unbelievably quiet

We bought this unit to use with our travel trailer, and if the need should arise, to run our sump pump and some essentials if the power goes out at home. We just bought it and started it up and it started on the very 1st pull!! It's amazingly quiet and light too !

Great Generator for Camping!

I use this for camping...it is just right for the back of my truck. I appreciate Champion has good entry level products for the price point but you have to stop promoting this as being a "QUIET" generator. It is not that but it is doable...Only thing would be to make it less noisey.

Initial Review

Product received in good condition, no visible damage to box or unit, unit delivered as as described, suprised to see unit shipped with no oil (no 20 oz bottle of oil shipped with unit), once filled with oil unit started immediately and ran with no issues, placed a load on unit and unit ran with no issues, looking forward to use in the upcoming amping season.

Runs Like a Champ

Starts easy, runs quiet, and does everything it is supposed to do. If this size generator fits your needs, this is the one to get.

Haven't used to much but so far its great. Came to my house quick.

Prepared

Wanted to be prepared. Came in good condition. Started up second pull. Do not intend to power everything in my house only essentials.Tried it out and powered up refrigerator, heater, lights, and microwave at same time. Very nice and now I have peace of mind.

Great generator

Great generator and saves gas money with eco mode. I was surprised with how quite and how long it lasts on a tank of gas. It has enough power to run my fifth wheel and a table saw/compressor and every other tool I have with ease. Five stars for sure!

Well Built With Power To Spare

I'm pleased with the overall design, operation, and performance of this generator. While my use has been limited to breaking things in, I gained confidence that this unit will give me service when I need it and last for years to come. Only two small negatives come to mind...it is hard to get to the sparkplug and the filler neck of the gas tank could be better...easy to spill gasoline while filling it. Top Rated Generator

Purchased mainly for emergency power situations. Haven't used it yet for this purpose, but I have fired it up to break it in and test out. Smooth start and quiet tech option is a very nice feature for when kids will be sleeping. Look forward to using it on camping trips when the time comes.

Life saver !

I'm a first time home owner and where we live we get multiple black outs (of course in California) and my wife and I realized that we needed a generator. Did our diligence and research and Champion became our choice. This thing has been a life saver and has not failed us yet. As long you maintain it, owning a generator will be a smooth ride.

Saved our food!

My dad got one of these a few years ago for the heck of it. He left it with fuel in the tank for 2 years between uses and it still fired up no problem. I had to borrow his after this last hurricane came through and knocked out power to our whole area. This thing ran 2 refrigerators,a freezer, charged our phones etc, ran microwaves/toasters as needed for 3 days with minor fuel use. Now I have a shiny new one of my own. Great product!
