I bought this to run a portable A-C unit in my truck. This thing works like magic and I easily run my 8000 BTU portable A-C without any trouble. Given its open frame, its not that noisy and with a fuel tank of decent size, I don't have to worry about refilling it again and again.

Great for camper

I have some land with a camper on it and this generator has been great for dry camping until I get electric installed. It has done well with charging up tools, running A/c and that sort of thing!

Quick setup and super easy to use.

Fast setup, super easy to use. We thought about going with the huge 10,000w model but this much lighter and better suited our needs.

I plan on using during power outages, which appear to be getting more frequent. Haven't used it yet, I'm sure it will perform well.

This is a great generator that mounts into the back of my truck to run my 5th wheel recreational vehicle. Pull start in front allows me to start easily while loaded.

Better prepared for hurricane Season

After losing power in the aftermath of 2 hurricanes last year, I have purchased my first gererator. Chanpion 4500 Watt Open Frame Inverter with CO Shield. I also purchased the wheel and handle kit to make it easier to move. All I did was follow the instructions: Add oil, Add gas, pull the cord...and it started right up. It easily handled the refrigerator, our modem & router along with several lights. Quieter than I expected, a pleasant surprise. It is also a bit smaller and lighter than I expect...

First use right now

Wind storm just roared through a couple hours ago. Lots of outages in the region, power may be out for a while. I just got this inverter generator a couple weeks ago for my b-day. Currently it's running our fridge and small upright freezer. Just using extension cords now, but I'll be putting in a transfer switch in the near future. Easy to start and I love the digital readout. I definitely recommend this unit.

First Impressions

I just purchased this generator, so here are my first impressions: POSITIVES: The unit gets great user reviews and reviews from Consumer Reports. The unit started easily for the first time in 35 degree weather and ran just fine. NEUTRALS: The unit is too heavy for one person to carry, plan on adding wheels unless you always have a second person handy. Easy to Use

Other than some minor shipping damage to a plastic cover the inverter was out of the box and running in 20 minutes and the includes installing the wheel kit which I highly recommend.

Very happy with purchase

I have two of these generators, one at home and one at the shop. I use them independently as needed short term but added the parallel operation kit so they can be combined when I lose power at home. They are nice sized for the basics and provide all the power I need for longer duration outages.

Great Home Back up Generator

Purchased last year after a few power outages. Ran trouble free for over 2 days. Kept frig and sewage ejector pump running.

Does what it should

Excellent generator. Starts easy,runs fairly quiet, and you gotta love that yellow color. All the features on the front generator panel are basic and easy to figure. Works exactly as it was intended. Couldn't be happier with the performance. Also seems to be very smooth with no detectable vibration. Not like some of those cheap units that walk across the floor when running. Definetly worth every penny I paid.

Great Product, Easy to use.

Great little generator for emergency use for the home and at work. At 75lbs it's relatively easy to move around. I may add the wheel kit eventually which is purchased separately. Starts quickly and is very straightforward to operate. Good value compared to other brands.
