Quality in design and build

Very well designed and manufactured generator. Remote start is clutch for cold mornings. And much more quiet than expected.

My 3100 series worked flawlessly for over 155 day without power due to Hurricane Maria. All within the normal operating procedures per the manufacturers recommendadtions

Junk.......Would never buy again

Ran good for 40 or so hours. Now all I have is $830 yellow paperweight. It starts, runs a bit then idles and does nothing. Or it will run for a minute, go to idle and then into overload when it has no load on it at all. Tried calling customer tech line but spent so much time on hold I finally gave up.

It works well but the battery is absolutely terrible

I bought this in April of 2017 and used it 4 times since then. The battery was stone dead back in 2018. I tried to charge it and it worked for 1 start and then it was flat again. Warranty does not cover battery. Since then I have been using the pull start. I am not the only one with this issue. I feel that if the company is not going to cover the battery under the warranty, it should come with a more reliable battery.

Handles my toy hauler like a Champion

Runs my air conditioner with no problems. It even powered my small air compressor. So far so good.

Excellent generator

So far so good. This generator is quiet and super easy to operate. The remote is great! I recommend this to my friends. It's the second Champion I have purchased

Quiet, Simple, Portable

Not only was our new Champion generator simple and easy to set up, but we were pleased about how quiet it was and how easily it started. It will be perfect for our horse trailer with living quarters. This brand was even recommended by the salesman where we bought our camper/trailer. The remote start is awesome, and it is light enough that we will be able to load and unload it easily from our pickup bed.

Battery switch

First off this is a great generator but has two flaws in my opinion. # 1 is battery switch which I have replaced twice and now need to do again, generator is only 3 or 4 years old. # 2 is minor, fuel tank is too small I feel should be another half gallon.

My wife convinced me to get it

When we bought our 27 foot travel trailer I wanted a generator to power everything but I was nervous about what I should get. I was stuck on another brand of generator and hooking them together. We also have the larger 15k BTU A/C unit and other 3000 models said they wouldn't power it. My wife convinced me to try the Champion and I'm very glad we did! Less than 20 hours run time, and the battery switch became unreliable. It's now in the shop for warranty replacement of the switch.

As reported, nice medium size

I just received my 3100/2800 watt, only one delay. Immediately contacted by the company to make things right. That aside, the features it offers me for running my RV is adequate. I did the break-in as written in booklet. It is very low to ground, so I used few pieces of wood to elevate it. The inverter is relatively quiet & hopefully will not draw too much attention. The eco mode is very quite. I'm taking it up to Alaska for its maiden voyage. So far, so good! Bruce

Don't have to leave the camper to start or stop.

Very Competent Generator

I purchased this generator for use with our 28 foot travel trailer. The trailer has a 15,000 BTU AC unit and this generator starts and runs it with out any problems. I like the controls, the output connections and the variety of ways the generator can be started and stopped. My only complaint is with having to re-jet the carburetor for use over 3500ft. I often stay at altitudes far in excess of this and wish there had been a lever or switch to change the altitude setting. I would have given this...

Nice Generator, Love The Remote Start

I broke the generator in per the instructions. Prior to purchasing this generator I had the Champion 2800 without the remote start. I have a large 2017 Keystone fifth wheel and it powers it just fine and will even run one of the AC's, the microwave, electric water heater, or electric fireplace - just one at a time. Easy Setup!

Very easy to setup. I had it running in 10 minutes. Started instantly with the wireless fob. Breaking it in now. Looking forward to having power when camping.
