Would Not RecommendIf you're buying this expecting the app to be useful, as in, providing you notifications of when your garage is open or stopped, look elsewhere. Ever since Chamberlain took this over it's gone downhill. First they ditched Google Home support, and now the latest update bricked notifications rendering the device useless. Don't buy

Would Not Recommendthe my q system used to have an API and could be used with many smart home management programs. that feature was removed to force users to use the my q app to control the door, thru a tiny button surrounded by ads to buy their subscription features or other devices. bricked my device.

Great Addition to the Garage Door
Would RecommendWe had an older chamberlain garage door opener that did not have a network connection. This device has turned it into a garage door opener that automatically opens as I drive up and closes when I leave as it is linked to our Tesla. It was very easy to install.

Smart add on G-door opener system
Would RecommendI bought the myQ accessory for my Craftsman opener and within minutes had it up and running with the app. Easy to install and the app is so intuitive anyone can do it. Highly recommend this product.

So-so product
The opener is convenient…when it works. When closing the garage door from outside, it takes several seconds to respond, so if I drive away before it starts to close, the notification of its closure comes at least half a minute later. I had assumed all this was supposed to happen immediately. Also, I often have to close and reopen the app before it responds.

2 things this is great but wish there were written instructions in the box and the other thing my open in the car does not connect any more so I need to go to the phone to open the garage door.

The myQ Smart Garage Control worked seamlessly with our very dated system and now we don’t have to carry around the old janky garage door openers we used to have to carry around and half the time they wouldn’t work! Would RecommendI absolutely love this addition to my Tesla and love the capability of using the app to control my garage door at anytime. The My Q interface works flawlessly with my model Y, so whenever I leave the house the garage door automatically closes and when I come home it automatically opens as I approach I my driveway. This has been a game changer as I used to feel cheated that the Tesla didn't have Home link buttons. The My Q is way better than Home Link and I thrilled to have it instead!
