The safe has a combination lock on it. You have to really be precise when opening it. Would be much better if it had an electronic lock on it. Other that that. Great safe for the money.

12 cu. ft. black gun safe

The safe is priced for whats its worth, no real deal here. I was hoping it would be close to my Remington that I already have , I was going to use this as a spare to hold not as important guns and papers. I know the fire rating was low but it is not very nice and you can't even change the combo if you wanted. I would have been better off to pay the extra money for more feature's. Just a small step up from a stack on.

Nice gun safe for the price....

I bought this gun safe for $100 off normal price. I am very satisfied with it. I bought it to keep my firearms out of the hands of my small children. It appears to be 100% effective....

I thought it would be Bigger

At 12 cu ft it was rated for 14 guns. Obviously not guns with scopes, or any gun of much size. I would say 8-10 guns of any caliber or a mix of guns that the average homeowner would have. Good solid unit though

Excellent Safe

This safe far exceeded my expectations. I had been looking for a safe that was solid, fire resistant and economical. If you don't have a large number of guns this particular model is perfect. It is solid and heavy. The shelves are adjustable and the layout is perfect for my 4 long guns, pistols, ammo and other items like my camera etc. You cannot go wrong with this safe from Liberty.

Does the job

I bought this safe to store my "goods" and it seems to do the job. Construction of it feels solid although it's feels lighter than what it says. The sentry safe I compared it to seemeds to be built a little more solid than this one but for the price, I couldn't pass this one up.

Liberty Centerion 12 Gun Safe

I have been looking at the Liberty Centerion 12 gun safe online, and at a couple other stores, for over two years. I couldn't believe my eyes to find it in Lowe's Thanksgiving flyer at 1/2 the price of other stores. I ran to my computer and ordered it and I picked it up three days later at my local Lowe's store. I couldn't be happier with the product or the service provided by Lowe's.

The best purchase of the year!!

The quality and price are amazing. I don't think you will find a better safe for this price. You can compare it with any other $500 - $600 safe and this one still wins.

Met my needs for storage.

I didn't buy this for guns and it was good size for storage of my coin collections and valuable. I am concerned about the flimsy door and would hope someone has tried something to make it better that they can share with me. I will check the reviews later to see if anyone has ideas. Thanks

Everything I was looking for

The gun safe was everything I was looking for. I like the adjustable shelves. The safe was roomy enough for our rifles and other minor valuables. It's also heavy.

Can't beat it for the money

Great lii safe. Made well, seems very tough. The only complaints I have are the shelves are cheap particle board (arrived with one broke whitch lowes replaced with no problem) and the fabric is not secured to them very well.The other is the door doesn't shut all the way (there's about 1/4'' of play) but that may just be the design because the door seal is supposed to expand when heated (for fire protection).

A safe, at security cabinet pricing!

I wasn't looking for a safe as I am not a gun collector and felt the cost of the added security was not essential to my purpose. I wanted a steel security cabinet to keep rogue hands out of trouble, and maybe frustrate any average "in and out" bad guy enough to just let it go. This safe has exceeded those expectations. The cost was around the same(even cheaper than some) as the cabinets I looked at, but the security is far better. It's even fire rated for 20 min., not much, but 20 min. more than...

For the money it was the best option

I thought that for <$300 I would only find storage cabinet options. This safe actually feels quite secure, heavy and has a little fire protection.

14 guns?

I like this safe but there is no way you can fit 14 guns in it, unless you own all lever actions. You need to remove bolts, slings, and every accessory first just to get the best fit. Some guns with larger scopes do not fit well, and my AR-15, not at all unless I take the optics off. It's a great safe if you only have 6 to 8 guns but don't expect to get 14 into it.

What a great value !!

Purchased this on Black Friday Sale. We saw it advertised in the newspaper for $297. By the the time we got to Lowe's all they had left was the floor model. It was a little scratched so they gave us an additional 10% off.This is ideal for guns and other items. The mechanical lock does take a little bit of doing. Would have preferred electronic but the price was right. We are satisified with this purchase and would suggest it to others.
