Swell Coffee, But...................

First, this coffee maker brews fine coffee. However, in forty five years of coffee maker ownership, all eight or so units have had the ability to restart the warming plate after the (usual) two hour cycle has elapsed. The Cafe' unit with requires brewing more coffee to restart the warming plate. We don't consider this a missing feature, more like a requirement that is absent. As such, we returned it and purchased a Cafe' model with a thermal carafe.

Great if it worked

This is a very nice looking coffee maker. Easy to use and plenty of options to get your coffee just right. I am returning mine because it does not heat my coffee. It brews it cold sometimes lukewarm. I’m assuming it’s defective and ordered another hoping it was just an issue with that one. We will see.

Not as nice as I thought

I bought this to go with the rest of the Cafe collection small appliances and major appliances I have but have been left disappointed. I'll start with what I like the smart aspect of the appliance is nice and works well. I like the ability to change the cup size and temperature. I was not able to get filters to work well and made a mess, so the work around was to use the basket solely but its a pain to clean daily! Does what it should while looking great, wish the water reservoir was removable but I’m not an engineer so don’t know if that’s a possibility.

Great coffee maker

Makes the perfect cup of coffee. Love the matte black, looks great in my kitchen.

Gorgeous

Gorgeous appliance - works great. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish it would keep the coffee warmer longer. Once it shuts off you can’t warm it up again. Not a huge deal, but my old coffee maker did that. But it wasn’t gorgeous and didn’t match my other appliances, so…

Don't buy these overpriced coffee makers

This product is a piece of #%@$%. The base has a large crack in it when it is less than 6 months old. Now the thing won't work at all. Everytime i try to brew the display blanks out and resets. Apparently there is no way to get help with the product either. Their Smart App takes you to a call center where they sent sent to another number that only helped with orders. Their service number 1-800-GECARES, load of BS. I waited for 7 min to talk to an agent who gave me yet another number to cal...

Amazing Product!

I love this coffeemaker! It makes a great cup of coffee, and as a self proclaimed coffee snob, I especially appreciate that you can adjust the temperature and intensity of the brew. I only had one issue with the app connectivity, but since have happily been able to start my brew directly from my phone, which is such a convenient bonus feature!

Great coffee maker, but poor features.

Overall it's pretty great. With the price point and tech behind it, it really should have more adjustments though. It lacks the ability to change the bloom time /volume, and the ability to adjust the water volume by ml (only 4.5oz cups). These things should be adjustable via the app.

Beautiful and easy to operate! The Wi-Fi automatic time update and programmable brew time via the app make using this coffee maker a joy!

Enjoy a good product.

I'm 78 years old and this is one of the best coffee makers I have had. It makes a great cup of coffee. It was easy to set up on wifi which easy to use and easy to choose you options on, temperature, strength etc.

Brew basket

I cannot get the brew basket out to clean. Instruction’s just say take it out.

Stopped working after 7 months

I loved this coffee maker when it was working. It stopped working after 7 months. I think the heating unit stopped functioning for some unknown reason. I called cafe customer service but they don’t pick up. I called several times and was on hold for hours with no successful contact.

Makes Great Coffee!

We mostly love our Cafe drip coffee maker. It makes great coffee! It's attractive on our counter, never leaks or spills & I love that the brew basket does not require paper filters. I have not used the timer, as it brews very quickly, and we currently just don't need that feature.. My only complaint is that I wish it made 12 cups of coffee, instead of a maximum of 10. And BTW, maybe we like weak coffee in our house; but we have found that set on the gold standard setting, we only need to use...
