Would RecommendMy tool box is full of cheap, light weight tape measures. Each has an issue. Will retract, will not lock. This will solve all of those problems.

Would RecommendI have several tape measures and all have been 1" wide, which only allows you to pull the blade out to about 8 ft max. This one is 1 1/4" wide and stand that blade standout is 11 ft, mine is regularly going to over 12 ft before bending. Appears to be pretty study for a decent price. Time will tell if it holds up to being in the bottom of a tool box.

Would Not RecommendI'm in construction, and have always bought the Stanley fat max. Then Lowes stopped carrying them,so I figured I'd try the craftsman out. Of the two i bought, the blades don't hold up to every day use, and the increments are starting to wear off on the edges on one of them. These tape measures are used for building cabinets, and trim work, so they are not exposed to the elements. I will not buy another, and tell everyone I know how shoddy they are

Would Not RecommendThe tape seems a little wider than necessary but there may be a reason I'm not aware of for that. Not my go-to for that reason though, it feels less agile than others I have. The numbers and marks are large and easy to read. The locking mechanism works well and is easy to engage/disengage.
