I would not purchase any craftsman and any power equipment from Lowe's and craftsman. They lie about the warranty and the manufacturer warranty. I purchased this product for my camper that I live in. Less than a week I started to have problems with my generator. I called Lowe's, they told me to call Craftsman and craftsman than told me to call Lowe's back because they don't covered warranty through Lowe's. It's a Firman, not a Craftsman
Don't believe the other reviews. I purchased this generator thinking it was a Craftsman with a Briggs and Straton engine. When I contacted Craftsman to register for the warranty, they directed me to Firman once I provided them with the model number. I then went to the Firman site and the model number popped up as an option to register. After further inspection, it very clearly says "Firman Power Equipment" on the data plate. See the photo. After quite a while I managed to get it started but it would only stay running with the choke on and when I added any load it would stall. Excellent Generator
Would RecommendMost generators lie about their power output. This one doesn't. I ran it for an hour straight drawing a continuous 4.8kWh and it didn't miss a beat. I tested this thing to see its max power and when it would peak at 6kW and overload, it would automatically reset itself and start producing power again. It starts easy and is very reliable. Probably one of the best portable generators out there.

Would RecommendAfter an 87mph windstorm took put our neighborhood, i bought this generator on a whim. Replaced oil after the initial 25hrs and fired it right back up. 72hrs of run time, power is still out and its running excellent. I have 3 refrigerators, a chest freezer, tv, dvd, fans and some extras running off it and I'm still getting 11 to 12 hrs of constant running time. Great purchase so far.
