What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly report poor cutting performance, with dull blades that bend rather than cut grass and weeds, requiring pre-sharpening to function minimally. Many describe handles breaking or cracking during early use, with rivets preventing repairs. Reviewers express strong regret, calling the product a waste of money and not worth purchasing. A small number found limited utility after sharpening or for non-traditional purposes like exercise, but these exceptions do not offset the dominant frustration. Overall, most customers do not recommend this tool for its intended weeding purpose.

Would RecommendThe long weed cutter works well. Great for teenager to build strong rotator cuffs.

Broke 1 hour after buying
Would Not RecommendI have a tiny 20x10 yard, so I bought this and it broke about half way through. It was not heavy brush, just tall (10 inches) grass and some dandelions. The tool did not strike any hard surfaces. The break happened where the blade is bolted to the wood. I bought it literally an hour ago. So much for "craftsman quality". Very disappointed that lowes is selling worthless garbage now and marketing it as functional tools. I will not be making any more purchases at Lowes, they've lost my busin...
works just like I remembered
Would RecommendUsed one of these as a kid with my granddad. Haven't been able to find his old one, but this does the trick.
Handle gets loose
Would Not RecommendSecond one purchased w/i a year. handle gets loose within 5x using and are attached with rivet vs nut/bolt. Handle cracked on first one. Not normal Craftsman quality.

No good for cutting down weeds!!!!
Would Not RecommendA weeder is supposed to be sharp so when you "whip" at the weeds it cuts them down. This is not sharp,, it failed to do the job I bought it for.. No use for it! Brand new when returned!

Niche at best
Would Not RecommendToo dull for fine weeds and too flimsy for thick weeds.

Handle is not good
Would Not Recommendthe handle busted right up. Cracked right up the sides and just broke off. What a waste of money. How can I return it??????

Cheap Handle
Would Not RecommendSwing it probably 10 times and the handle broke in half. Felt cheap and indeed it was!
really not worth the money.
Would Not RecommendShort handle and light weight blade make this really difficult to use, Won't cut through much...
It’s only going to cut soft stemmed weeds & shrubs
Would RecommendIt’s only going to cut soft stemmed weeds & shrubs, but it is sturdy so I just need to use it before new growth hardens off.

Doesn’t work
Would Not RecommendHandle is short, but the fact that the blade cuts absolutely nothing makes this just a piece of useless junk
Watch your back.
Would Not RecommendI do like the concept but for the life of me I can't understand why they didn't provide a taller handle. I have a big backyard and after the winter we had it needed some serious cleanup. I thought that tool was the best to fight the weeds. After half an hour my back told me to stop and go back to another tool taller but with a narrower weed cutter. It is much more comfortable to handle but takes more time because it's narrower.

Uncomfortable to use
Would Not RecommendThe handle is too short therefore I must bend forward in a uncomfortable position causing back pain. I will return.

I was really disappointed
Would Not RecommendI watched videos on YouTube about this type of tool, and looked forward to cutting down high weeds. It wouldn't cut the thinnest blades of grass due to it being so dull. The serrated edges are not sharp at all. Don't waste your money.
