What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly report poor cutting performance, with dull blades that bend rather than cut grass and weeds, requiring pre-sharpening to function minimally. Many describe handles breaking or cracking during early use, with rivets preventing repairs. Reviewers express strong regret, calling the product a waste of money and not worth purchasing. A small number found limited utility after sharpening or for non-traditional purposes like exercise, but these exceptions do not offset the dominant frustration. Overall, most customers do not recommend this tool for its intended weeding purpose.

Would Not RecommendI only used it about 3 minutes and it broke.
Inexpensive manual weed wacker
Would RecommendAfter reading poor reviews of this product, I went to the store to look at each offering. This was the cheapest but not the worst looking. I bought it, added a hose clamp around the handle attachment. I also immersed the end grain on the bottom of the handle and worked it in and then fully dry. It seems to be holding up, but maybe I am consciously not driving it too hard. But it works fine.

Trash
Would Not RecommendPurchased to clear some light over growth behind the house. Within 15 minutes of starting. The handle split from the bottom up. The handle has rivots instead of bolts, making the handle replacement difficult.
Terrible
Would Not RecommendThere is literally nothing sharp about this tool. This is a useless tool. I will be returning it.

Not sturdy
Would Not RecommendI love Craftsman, but this is a cheaply made tool. Second day of using it, hit a stump and the wood handle split and the head fell off

Long handle weeding tool
Would Not RecommendWithin the first 4 hours after purchase, during use. Hit a thicker patch of weeds in the middle of the grass and the handle split from the bottom up. Was not able to use anymore.

Cheap Crap
Would Not RecommendHad older craftsman weedcutter with rubber handled oak shaft with bolts holding sharp blades that lasted years. This new one with cheap pine shaft held with loose rivets broke first use. The dull blades contributed to this because they push weeds not cutting them.
Buyer Beware
Would Not RecommendAbsolute junk, there is no sharpened edge on it ,if you sharpened it, it probably voids any type of warranty, I do not recommend this item.
Regret Not Reading Reviews
Would Not RecommendI can’t believe I didn’t read the reviews. Sigh! As others have shared, this tool does not cut and the blade is not sharp at all but dull. Description of “serrated edges” is false marketing. Just as another said, you can’t see the blade until you remove the cardboard. (Should have checked when I picked up)… I don’t think I’d call this tool to have a “blade”. I purchased this to trim the grass and weeds in/around the areas where we feed community cats in the interim of the regular mowers… Di...
Piece of junk
Would Not RecommendProduct is too heavy and clumsy; definitely not to be used by anyone who has back problems or problems with their wrist. Anyone over the age of 60 should not purchase!!! My weeder’s wooden stock cracked after two days of use. A real dud and waste of money

Not sharp
Would Not RecommendAs others have noted, this device simply pushes grass down. It does not cut. The blade is not sharp. Until you remove the cardboard from the blade, you cannot see the blade. I bought this with the intent of cutting down small patches of grass and weeds that I could not reach with my mower. I will be returning it.
