JUST MAY BE THE WORST DESIGN EVER!

I needed a new utility knife and bought this 2 pack for $9.00 at Lowes. It came with no instructions on how to insert and remove the blade. I saw the release button on the side and attempted to insert the blade. Problem is it kept jamming and wouldn't insert correctly so it wouldn't retract. After several attempts I finally went online and found a how to video, not by Craftman but a private user. It's tricky and not intuitive at all but if you do it JUST RIGHT it will go in and work. HI VIS utility knife

i want to give it 5 stars but the included blades dont seem to be of very high quality unfortunately. i've already gone thru two of them in less than a month. but the metal construction of the knife itself is great so i give it a 4/5 overall

Even comes with blades in the handle

Easy blade change, hard to lose on the job site, even buried by demo debris.

A good universal utility knife to have on hand

Easy to use, extra blades store nicely under the knife. Great durable finish at a super affordable price

I can’t even get it loaded the first time to use it. No instructions, nothing. Do better Craftsman.

I need help!

Ran out tonite just for these craftsman utility knives. I know i am not I'm stupid but I am clueless about how you get the utility knife ready to use. A wee bit of instruction would have been very helpful! So here I sit with these 2 beautiful knives - I had a Project to do with them and yet I have no idea what to do with them? Probably return them tomorrow.

Decent quality knife but you won't lose it!

Functional, simple blade

The quick change blade is nice, but I'm worried about durability on it. I don't especially like the spare blade holder, it has popped open on me once or twice while working. Good shape and design for me though.

Crap

This tool looks beautiful, feels great and is a huge disappointment. As the other reviewers said, how do you change the blade? After twenty minutes I got it apart, pieces fell out and despite there being only five total pieces, there’s no logical way to get it back together. Not a big deal if there was an image somewhere to match up but nothing exists. Taking it back tomorrow.

No instructions plus Safety Hazard

I found a YouTuber (sawdust and stuff) w a similar knife style that showed me how to load the blade. The blades don’t have any protective covering. Be very careful
