Cutting Head is cheap
Would Not RecommendThe cutting head is cheap and jams often. Did not last the first season. Craftsman warranty support is a joke. They pass the buck to another department who never returns messages.
Line Capacity
Would RecommendI really like the trimmer but loading line is a hassle. The line doesn't feed correctly as I wind it on the spool/head and I only end up with 10-12' of line. Very frustrating.

WS2400 will not start
Terrible trimmer. Frustrating!! Only the second season and it will not start. It did start once. I turned it off with the kill switch and now it will not start again. Good fuel flow, carb screen is clean. Still looks new, just will not start! I do not need the frustration. Do bad kill switches keep these from starting?

Will break quickly
Would Not RecommendI bought this weed eater in April of 2023. yesterday 6,7,2024 the thing broke. I have bought multiple peices of power equipment made by Craftsman but I will never buy anything made by them again. Everything I buy with Craftsman on it, only last about a year and then it's done and must be replaced.

Light duty use only
Would Not RecommendTo start with, the pin that holds the shaft broke and fell off so I had to rivet it back on. Used for one season and it blew up on me in the middle of trimming my yard. Ran proper amount of string, used exact 50:1 ratio fuel at all times, and I was working in the shade on a semi cool day so no chance it overheated. I took the spark plug out and the piston is loosely moving up and down so its broke. Would not recommend unless you sre doing extremely light duty work around a well manicured lawn.
