Ratings & Reviews for CRAFTSMAN 6-Gallon Portable Electric 150 PSI Pancake Air Compressor
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
This portable electric air compressor is compact, lightweight, and easy to move, making it convenient for tasks like inflating tires and using nail guns. It builds pressure quickly and maintains it well, allowing users to complete tasks without frequent recharging. While it is a bit noisy, the noise level is typical for this type of compressor. The dual air outlets are a helpful feature, enabling users to power two tools simultaneously. However, some users experienced quality issues like air leaks or the compressor failing prematurely, so durability may be a concern for heavy or prolonged use. Accessories like hoses and fittings are not included, requiring additional purchases.

Not good
Would Not RecommendIt seems the typical issue with this model is the regulator, such is the case for me. I thought I was buying a decent craftsman tool for a good price, man was I wrong. Only ever used around the house for light trim projects and the piece inside the valve broke. Just completely snapped. To make matters even worse, I’ve seen they no longer make that part for this model. Spend a little more and get something worth while, because if this one fails on you end you’re out of warranty you’re screwed.

Guess the mighty have fallen?
Would Not RecommendCraftsman used to be the only tool line I bought and could be trusted to take the load of a work site. Generally, small pancake compressors like these would last about 6 years. The first Craftsman compressor did. So given the average, I purchased a second and used it ONE time. BOTH compressors leaked from the tank bleed valve. I made my own from a bolt drilled down the center. Frustrating when the product is brand new and requires additional bench work to be functional. I would definitely pay m...
Very Disappointed
Would Not RecommendI was hopeful that this model would work for me for the simple task of keeping my vehicles tires inflated to proper spec. The unit--barely a year old, but now out of warranty, has stopped working as the valve body broke. I have tried ordering the replacement parts and have received the wrong size twice--even though the model number has been matched each time. I'd really like to just have the unit work--but it is useless the way it is.

So far so good
Been using this in a shop for a Snap On tire machine and Handy motorcycle lifts. Seems to work fine so far. But it's only been a month.
Poor regulator mount design
Would Not RecommendI recently purchased the Craftsman 6 gal pancake compressor for a DYI bathroom remodel. When removing the compressor from the box, I noticed that the regulator was off center. Further inspection revealed that the regulator is screwed directly to the tank without a seperate nut for tightening. Needless to say, the regulator was loose and moved freely both directions approximately an 8th of a turn making the pipe dope useless. I gave the compressor a chance and sure enough it leaked air at tha...
