Ratings & Reviews for CRAFTSMAN 6-Gallon Portable Electric 150 PSI Pancake Air Compressor
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
This portable electric air compressor is compact, lightweight, and easy to move, making it convenient for tasks like inflating tires and using nail guns. It builds pressure quickly and maintains it well, allowing users to complete tasks without frequent recharging. While it is a bit noisy, the noise level is typical for this type of compressor. The dual air outlets are a helpful feature, enabling users to power two tools simultaneously. However, some users experienced quality issues like air leaks or the compressor failing prematurely, so durability may be a concern for heavy or prolonged use. Accessories like hoses and fittings are not included, requiring additional purchases.

Would Not RecommendHad for just over a year. Worked fine as expected but I never had another pancake compressor to compare it to. It IS quite loud for a small machine, in my opinion, and it does sound like it's going to fall apart at times, just makes a rattle type noise when it's running. I use it lightly in my woodshop and home for the occasional brad nailing project or to blow off dust. Just recently after a year of ownership, when sitting after being fully compressed there is air leaking from the body somewher...
Compressed air; no pancakes.
Would RecommendWorks. Lighter than my previous Bostitch. Wife likes the pretty red color. Does not make pancakes.

Small tank size
Would RecommendGood little compressor, kind of loud for a garage item. The small tank means it's constantly running if you need it for any length of time. Otherwise no complaints!

right size for home
Would RecommendI had a bigger air compressor and I decide I need a smaller one so I got the craftsman 6 gallon air compressor. It's bigger enough for what I would use it for at my house and some car repair. The only thing I would add to the craftsman compressor would be a way to wrap the air hose around it

Excellent quality for the money
Would RecommendIt works great. It's noisy, as it is to be expected from a compressor that doesn't use oil. It fills the tank quickly and it keeps the air inside for a long time.

Air Compressor Gone Kaput
Only had this compressor for less than 2 years and now it only gets up to 80 lbs before it cuts off and the only way I can get it to cycle back on is to turn it off and unplug it. It's either the regulator or over-load protection or both. Either way, I probably will be better off replacing it since it only has a 1 year warrenty.
