Will not give any measurement

Product turns on, but when trying to take measurement according to operation manual, the laser just turns off. No measurement given.

Won't self level and no insturction

The unit won't self level itself and had to use string and a level to finish a project. Returning it today.

Won't turn on after first time charging it

Used for a while and then after charging it, I can not get it to turn on. Indicator shows full charge but unit will not turn on. Went with this unit instead of Bosch unit, but starting to regret purchase.

Defective product

I cannot get the device to take any sort of measurement. I can change the unit of measurement and turn it on/off but that’s it. All I get is dashes and I am disappointed.

DOES NOT TURN OFF - HAVE TO REMOVE BATTERIES

Not happy right out of the box! How in the world do you make an electronic product in the year 2021 with no way to turn it off outside of removing the batteries???

Just didn't work

I was hopeful that this device would work. No instructions included with device, looked up on Craftsman website. Followed instructions and the device would not even take a measurement. It did once...a very small distance of 6 inches, definitely not the 40 it says. I need a device like this for work...perfect size for carrying, I am disappointed.

Useful

This is my new favorite gadget. I have cathedral ceilings, so it was invaluable to be able to measure how high they are in order to purchase the correct amount of chain for a new chandelier. You need to read the directions before use — it is not immediately clear that you are supposed to turn it on, set it to aim where you need to measure, then click the button again for it to display the measurement.

Didn't last long at all

I loved using this it went everywhere with me but I was using it one day and it just stopped in the middle of a measurement. Only got to use it few times and for the price should have lasted way longer. It has full charge etc. It just won't turn on

If you are tasked with measuring the amount of distance within a certain area, this tool could lessen your confusion and stress. It is also compact.

Wastewater freeboard measurements

Time saver. I use this to verify level sensors are working properly. Im surprised it reflects off the waters surface and providing a consistent return. Its usually within an inch or two the tape measure we normally use. I just hang it over the side and subtract the height of the railing from the deck to get the freeboard measurement. My methods arent lab precise, but they dont need to be for this application. For those expecting to use this for cutting and framing It wont be as precise as a mea...

hard to read & a PITA to use. Not worth the price, and now I have to make yet ANOTHER trip to return it.

Power in Your Pocket

This laser distance measurer is an excellent pocket tool. You can size up a room or lumber or clearances and many or the straight measurements. This is a valuable purchase!

Laser Distance Measure was worthless

If you want to use it to make sure people are 6' away, it works great. To use it to measure a distance for rafters or other carpenter projects, it was 4" off at 14 feet.

This thing is great!

I wish i had one of these years ago! I think it would be more effective paired with a level, but it works like a charm! it is VERY small, so be sure to attach the lanyard before you lose it!
