Would RecommendIt’s steel. It’s strong. Not plastic. Same legs are used in the other wire frame shelves so it’s easy to setup. Can combine them to make bigger or different shelves.
Strong and Solid bottoms

Would RecommendThe unit seems to be well built and sturdy. I like the solid shelves instead of wire shelves found on many other shelving units. If there were one thing to change about this set, it would be to include 5 shelves instead of only four. Overall, a nice set of shelving for the garage, or utility room.

Sturdy ALL Steel Shelf, EASY to assemble........
Would RecommendProbably easiest to assemble with a helper, read the instructions as there are some good suggestions. Very sturdy once assembled and loaded up, much better than similar plastic shelves. I needed some canned good storage in my basement pantry and these worked out perfectly.....and Craftsman :-) I would buy this again.

These shelves are awesome. I have several of these storage racks for my garage and walk in attic. They helped me tremendously with organizing my garage. The steel shelves seem very durable and not flimsy. Each shelf is rated for 600lbs. The steel support post are also solid. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars versus 5 is because I think for the price it should come with 5 shelves.
