Warranty process is a nightmare

Consumes high amounts of engine oil and smokes. Have to top off engine oil in between tanks or the low oil cutoff will prevent it from starting again. High gas consumption for an inverter generator. Uses 1 gallon for 5 hours of run time with 650W constant load. Have been fighting the “3 year warranty” for over a week. Keep getting pushed from one department to another. Buyer beware, get a more reputable generator elsewhere. I’ll be going back to Harbor freight’s Predator

You have to use non ethanol gas in this small engine or your carburetor will seize up. When done using run all the gas out until quits or add STABil to the fuel. Don’t let this machine sit for long periods of time.

No brainer!

I had another early model of this one, it still works like a charm. So buying this one was a no brainer

Two duds in one day

Bought one first thing in the morning due to power outage. It was an absolute dud. Friends and family tried for several hours but couldn’t get it start. Called Lowe’s to return it was told I had to drain the gas first. Asked if they had another in stock. There was one. Asked them to hold it, but they wouldn’t. So I hurried to get the last one. WARNING! DO NOT BUY! READ ALL THE REVIEWS! EVERYONE IS SAYING THE EXACT SAME THING! Power went out the other night. Sump was about to overflow. In a pinch I sprinted to Lowes to get a generator. This one was on sale (which I later would realize why its on sale, bc its GARBAGE). Grabbed it raced home, gassed and oiled ready to start, and of course....IT WONT START! Don't buy

I bought one from the store. I first asked if I have any problemscan I return it. I was told yes. I used it for about 4 hours and I could not keep it running. I returned to the store with this junk in hand and was told it was over 48 hours and the would not return or exchange. Craftsmanis having me take it to BFE to have it looked at. But not worth the time money and agonythis thing will put you though. I bought it becauseit said Craftsman but know I have no faithin the brand

Absolute trash

Purchased this and followed the setup instructions to a T. It quits running even when just using the minimum amount of appliances. I tried to return it to Lowe’s within 30 days of purchase and was told I had to contact Craftsman. Despite calling Craftsman SEVERAL times and waiting on hold, I was never able to speak with a person. Craftsman used to be the most reliable brand. Very disappointed and out of a lot of money.

Less than 30 hours, throttle motor failed.

Purchased new while in a pinch for right at $900 after tax because it was the only brand available nearby, so nearly double the cost of other similar inverter models. It runs an impressive 7 hours on one tank and is quiet and fairly lightweight. Unfortunately, I was only able to use it a handful of times for no more than 30 hours total before it would not start without heavy choke, then it would only stay running if left on high choke, but would still surge unless under heavy load. Can not operate inside the house.

Served its purpose and more when we didn't have power for over a day.

Kept our basement from flooding.

We were in a bind to keep our sump pump going with the electric out at our cabin. Picked this up at the store, put gas and oil in it and it started right up and kept our sump pump running thru the night.

Arrived broken

I purchased this generator, and didn't try running it for six days. When I did start it, it dies every time I apply a load. Lowes would not refund my money, since it was not within 48 hours. I sent it to the Craftsman/Generac Authorized service center, and it has been there for two and a half month. I will never purchase another Craftsman produce, if this is how their warranty works.

Excellent fuel consumption

This is an awesome generator. I would like to say that it is the perfect size. My wife can use the pull cord with ease. Also, it literally sips the gas fuel. Every gallon used lasts up to 8 hours. We have been useing it for our RV and it has no problem. The truth is, if we needed more power we would simply get another one and link the two together, its that simple......
