Affordable battery powered router

Out of the box, the router feels nice. It doesn’t include any bits, and the dust shield and edge guide are functional at best (-1 star). I agree with other reviewers, the dust shield doesn’t seem like it is going to last. I'd still recommend this to a friend who has existing Craftsman tools. I paired this purchase with a Kreg straight edge guide and Skil 30-Piece Carbide-Tipped Router bit set to get moving on a couple projects.

Awesome and Versatile Router!

First off, once I unpacked this router from the box, it felt solid and well built in my hands. The operation of this router is very smooth, easy, and surprisingly quiet. This is a very efficient and robust router for its 1/4" bit capability. On the downside, as stated by others, I am not very happy with the craftsmanship of the dust shield that it came with. The alignment dowl on the shield itself seems to be recessed to much, making it extremely difficult to install, and I do not expect it to b...

I honestly have not used this. I think I will need a lesson, but I love when Lowe's has buy one get one free promo. This was the best deal on Internet and I was lucky to fin 3 products I wanted in one Lowe's store near my work. I was never disappointed with craftsman products so I am sure this will be fine. It has a very dainty and compact design.

RP model is definetly an upgrade.

Smooth little Hand Router. Brushless motor is smooth and fairly quiet. Great for those detail jobs. Easy to adjust. The new RP model is definitely a step up from my other V20 tools. You can tell the motor has more torque.

Handy, useful for most projects

I had one project that would have been best done with a much more powerful router. It was not fiscally reasonable to spend the extra money for only one project. This router did the job. I had to work more slowly, but the job was just as good as a bigger tool could have done, except now I have leftover money and a real handy, small router for future use.
