Very Pleased with purchase
Well ink jets just cost too much for ink refills. It was time to try something different. Brother Laser, well I'll try it and so far very pleased with the printing, double side, and time will tell if the cost will be different for refill time. We aren't heavy print people but for our home use it been great.

Six month review
This printer was super easy to setup. The black and white print quality meets or exceeds my needs for home use and school projects for children. I’m not really sure how quick it prints as most jobs are done and waiting on me from the time I hit print and walk to the printer. I made it through tax season which is where I encounter the highest volume printing, no issues. I’m hoping that the toner will last several years with low volume infrequent printing.

Perfect machine for your home office
I bought this machine to replace my old printer and my old scanner and I am very happy with this printer+scanner+fax combo (MFCL2820DW). It also has a FAX feature, but this is the only feature I am not going to use. The list of features I like would basically list all of the features of this printer 1. Avoid the manual feed
My old MFC7840W began to fall apart and this was the closest model I could find to my old printer. It generally works okay but if you need to manually feed checks or envelopes to print upon, the printing always comes out crooked so for one-off print jobs, I use my Canon.
