We’ve been buying only HP printers for decades, but have had problems with our newest one only after a few years. It would tell us to replace cartridges sometimes only a few weeks after one was replaced, and we don’t print many pages anymore, and we only used genuine HP cartridges. Worse, if if thought any color cartridge was empty, it refused to print anything, even black and white documents. Good little printer for home use
This printer is simple, easy to install, and produces good looking documents. However, the design of the printed page holder is really poor, After printing the pages are ejected onto this anemic little piece of plastic that is neither long enough or wide enough to hold the paper. I finally removed it and placed a small plastic tray in front that holds an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet. I am at a loss as to why this page holder is so poor. Worth the Money
Relatively fast for price point. Paper handling better than average; no paper jams so far. Stays connected to WiFi even after power outages, which eliminates a problem I often encountered with other brands. Fairly small footprint. This unit should be more than sufficient for home office use.

Sceptic
I was a bit skeptical at first. I have been an HP printer user for years. We started having all kinds of issues with my wife's HP 6600 WiFi connection and getting ink that would work. I was pleasantly surprised when I received this printer. It was easy to set up and prints WAY faster that the HP. Print quality is great for what she needs.The ink replacement is a lot cheaper as well. I'll buy another one for my office when my HP 6968 craps out.

Not a good printer for the computer illiterate.
I found it weird that I had to run the wire from my computer into the middle of the device. It's annoying when I shut it off it has to clean out any Fax data when I haven't used the Fax. I don't know how to do 2 sided scanning and I don't know how many pages I can scan at one time. I tried to print a document from a PDF program and nothing happened. I had to click on the Brother Print Icon to get it to print a page.

Choose another printer!!
Printer is already barely working. Takes 5 minutes to print one sheet. Sounds like a dying cat or something. Will no longer print double sided, jams every time. Have only owned the printer for 2-3 months. From what I saw, it appears the warranty is only valid in Canada.

Great printer
Prints really quick compared to my previous Epson. Also prints great looking photos on photo paper. I would definately buy this printer again. So far I have no negative issues at all. Been using it for about 1 month.
