Beware of supplied cutout template
Would Not RecommendI'd recommend not using the supplied cutout template. If you use the template, you'll end up with a 6 3/4 in. square cutout with a large gap between the vent cap and the edges of the cutout. (See first photo.) How Broan came up with this is beyond me. This gap will somehow need to be filled to prevent water from penetrating behind your siding. I used the template, decided it was totally unsatisfactory, and then redid the job using the Durabilt louvered vent cap also available at Lowes. (Se...
