Would Not RecommendProduct does NOT fit 689. The fan wheel itself hits the top of the box, and the lip of the plate hits against the semi circle metal piece in the existing box. It is NOT compatible with 689.

Expensive for what you get but worth it
Would RecommendHad a 30 yr old Broan fan 671 H that sounded like a freight train then finally died. This 5 minute job saved countless hours of doing a full replacement and is much quieter plus seems to be higher quality than the original. In this case an extra 20 bucks well spent
