The major issue am facing is that am unable to use it in open field, being a government civil engineer whenever i try to use it in day time for short clear distances the instrument works fine, but in majority of day time when using in open field i get error message, it is suitable in building construction but for measuring in open field it has limited use.

Fun and useful tool!

Having this laser measure around the house coupled with the Bosch GLM measure APP is addictive. It is so much fun measuring rooms and furniture. I purchased this while house hunting to take quick measurements of rooms and that has only been the beginning of the usefulness of this tool/toy. I think I have measured everything in my domain with dimensions.

Makes taking measurements for a quote 3x faster..

Awesome BT connection usage on smart phone or tablet. Makes estimating more accurate and faster. Gives us a lot more confidence when we leave the client that we have all the info we need and it can be referenced with the photos having dimensions right on top.

Great Tool

Used for laying out and taking verification measurements on a job site. Overall really well but sometimes hard to tell if it is pointed at an angle and hard to see in the bright sun light. May need some form of targeting eyesight to hit bright targets but overall good product.

Serious oversight on stake-out feature

Most features work great on this unit, but I can't believe the huge oversight on the stake-out function. Considering this function is designed for repetitive marking of equal distances, and considering the industry this is geared for, using this feature to mark stud distances on 16" centers would be a massive time saver, but unfortunately 16" equates to 1.333333333333333333', and on to infinity, and is only selectable by decimal ft and m. Great when working alone!

Bought this when I was building a deck solo, and couldn't be happier. Very intuitive, and excellent accuracy. One particularly great timesaver was measuring for blocking between joists. Just a quick tap between each joist, then use bring them up in order from the memory to mark your cuts. Can't believe I waited so long to buy this.

Great little tool!!

I bought this little gem a couple months ago. Rather than carrying around a large tape measure with me when I quote jobs or do a field review I carry this laser around with me. It's quick and easy to use it connects right to my phone or tablet so it's makes estimating a breeze, I wish I would have got one sooner.

Best feature for me is LARGE COLOR DISPLAY

There is very little room for criticism...I also own and use an older GLM 30 with the smaller monochrome display...while happy with it I'm OVERJOYED with the GLM 50C.. my 59 year old eyes can see the bright color display of the GLM 50C without squinting (like with the GLM 30). Easy to use and especially easy to read! However, the hand strap pulled through the loop the first time I tried to pull it out of the holster which may be too tight.

I love the size and features of this laser measure. As a land surveyor it is convenient and the features allow me to do things quickly and efficiently!

Great Laser Measure

I really like this tool. I can connect it to my ipad, and store all of my measurments. One complaint might be the buttons. I would prefer they were hard plastic with a more tactile response. Bosch, if you are listening, put a measure button on the side. It would be really handy to be able to hold it against the wall with one hand, and just push down on a side button to capture. instead, i need to twist my pointer finger under and push it without losing my angle.

AMAZING!!! Cant believe the technology my job is much easier with this can even double check measurements in half the time! Waterproof holds up to most abuse. Light weight and durable runs on two triple A batteries. Has auto shut off when not in use! It does 5 measurements length volume...ect . You have to buy it amazing!
