Disappointed in the Phone application

I bought the GLM 50 C expecting that I could take many measurements and transfer to my phone for export to a file. The data was captured from the GLS 50 C and transferred to my Samsung phone via the Bosch MeasureOn app, but the file does not stay as an Excel file and I can never open it with any app, therefore I have to physically write the data down from the GLM device. I had to measure all area's of a 77,000 sq ft factory, so there is a lot of data.

Convenient, accurate & READABLE

Bought 2 other brands. Could not read the fractions....too small. All numbers very readable on GLM 50 and rotating screen is the best. Solid unit and functions are easy to access and use. Very accurate.

Mixed Rating

The GLM 50C works as advertised. Seems to be a great tool so far. The apps available for the GLM 50C appear to be very useful, but there is little information on how to use them. It's very frustrating. YouTube has some videos for the apps, but there isn't enough there for me to successfully create a properly dimensioned floor plan. Really need decent documents for using the apps.

Another Great Bosch Tool in my bag!

Bought this product about 3 weeks ago and have been using to do floor estimates. Between the product and the app it has increased my efficiency when bidding jobs. Would definitely recommend this laser tape measure.

Handle as a Thumb

I frequently find myself in the field gathering as built information for the architectural project I do. The GLM 50 helps me to make quick, accurate measurements with just one hand. The measurement memory is fantastic. No need to try to stretch measure tape across a room and write down measurements. The Bluetooth feature is something I wish I could exploit to link the GLM 50 directly to my laptop and Autocad. Well designed!

Great tool for easily recording measurements, love the bluetooth function that records onto my iPhone, no need to carry a pad and pencil.

Best purchase I've made in a long time.

Quick and easy to use. The batteries that come with it are garbage. Barely lasted through the first 4 rooms of the house that I needed to measure out. But put some quality batteries in it and you're off to the races. The ipad app is a great option. The iphone app isn't useful to me at all. Sadly the ipad app won't allow you to just draw lines for the rooms, etc. It requires a wall width. It also will only allow one photo per job. value for money

very easy to use , first time using a laser measure,make sure you see where the laser dot is as it could be hitting something in between its so easy,draw a quick sketch of the room the go clockwise around measuring and finally floor to ceiling all the different measurments are stored in sequence so its simple . .the only downside is it switches on very easily whilst in your pocket . probably why they come with a belt clip.

Nice addition to my tool box

This was a Christmas gift for me and was the type of tool I would never have bought. However, once I used it I realized how great it is. It is so accurate that it is hard to believe. I tested it over and over on the same measurement and was amazed how repeatable it was. I highly recommend this tool.

Great tool, easy to read and use

I am using this tool to measure the walls for Crown Molding, works great while standing on a ladder and the color display is very easy to read. I have utilized the Bosch app for may android tablet to provide a document when cutting the Crown Molding.

I've had the GLM 50 C since Christmas . I love it . Easy to use , Bright easy to read display . I haven't used the Bluetooth apps yet . I love Bosch tools !

Easy button

Absolutely the best thing ti have to be accurate in all if yiur measurements. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

BlueTooth Limited

I'm very disappointed in this device. First, even if you use the IOS App, bluetooth on the device shuts off if you don't take measurements frequently enough. It needs to have a longer timeout on the order of 10 minutes. Second, I'm also disappointed that you cannot pair the device with a Computer or IPad and have it function as an input device. I would like to scan into a field of whatever application is in focus at the time. Typically I would like to scan into MS-Excel on a Mac, IPad or Surfac...

Accurate Multiple measurement just got easier

I'm a finish carpenter, the Bosch GLM 50 makes hanging crown a lot easier. Accurate and up to 30 recorded measurements lets me toss the notebook. The GLM 50 performs flawless. I'm able to make measurements single handedly and order more accurately which, improves my timeline with less waste, and the part I like best more money in my pocket. Oh yeah, it has other helpful function also.
