good features

lots of temperature or cooking contrlos but con fusing. missing a simple defrost selection like other miro waves have to set power etc to defrost. also missing a simple warm up selection. closest selection heats up too fast

Great Mico-Oven!

Love this microwave. The Reheat Sensor function works really well at reheating leftovers. Biggest gripe with this microwave is that the alarm is so silent. It's impossible to hear it if you're not in the room staring at the microwave and watching the countdown. Works great as a microwave, haven't used it much in it's speed oven capacity.

Glad we purchased - would like a new feature

We purchased this MicroWave/Oven combo a 15 months ago and get compliments on the look of the unit all of the time. One of our favorite features is the oven roasting which we use regularly to for roasted vegetables. The oven bakes evenly and brown's our baked good consistently. One feature the microwave does not have is defrost for fish. Over all pleased we made this purchase.

Better than I imagined

We redid our kitchen this summer and I got rid of my wall oven/microwave combination that I’ve had for years. I loved my microwave because it was big and had a drop down door. As I looked for a replacement, I found this Bosch speed oven. I use the convection oven almost as much as the microwave. It’s a little smaller, but it still handles everything just fine. Excellent oven & mircowave

Complete kitchen renovation, combo wall oven and m/w has features that we are still getting familiar with. M/w has bake/broil feature that we use almost daily. Also installed Subzero fridge and wolf range and the Bosch combo unit is every bit as impressive as far as functionality and appearance,

Best appliance I own

This is much more than a microwave. It is a microwave, toaster oven, broiler, and convection oven all in one. I have gained precious counter space by getting rid of my toaster oven and microwave with this one appliance. very high quality and easy to use.

Have had it for a couple of months now use it quite often. Wish I would of had it while all my children were home.

Looks good, but had two defective parts in 2 years

I bought this unit for the good looks as part of a Mircowave and oven combo unit. After two years the display slowly started dimming until complete gone. The micro wave still operates. I replaced the entire display unit (from Bosch; Controller part no: 12014013). Three days after installing: the entire unit failed to operate; reason: internally blown fuse. One of the left side door micro switches is not operating; causing the internal fuse to blow; ordered a replacement micro switch. My experi...

Ok, until......

We loved ours from the beginning. Great to not have to heat a large oven for a pizza. But, at 16 months, it started sparking in the microwave, and then died. Warranty is only 1 year. Also, wish the door open left or right like the oven. If you place this over your oven, the flip down door makes it hard to get inside without a stool, especially if it is hot.

Great features as a microwave & a 2nd oven

Purchased for a kitchen remodel mainly as a microwave but also due to its flexibility to be a 2nd convection oven & its ability to brown. the oven has met our expectations.

bad quality parts used in this microwave

the switch (latch for the door open and close) broken easily causing fuse to burn. The front panel installed with defect part and won't last long. The repair cost is very high. not recommend to buy this.

Looks good, stopped working after 10 months,

Bought unit because it is saving space, worked well for about 10 months then stopped working because of it tripped the house breaker each time we closed the door panel. Tech thought it was the micro switch, now he thinks it is the computer board. The timer alarm is barely audible and can't be adjusted. Unit gets condensation easily which causes some rust spots inside that are difficult to clean. The unit looks good though but I would not buy it again.

Display stopped working

Warranty is only one year. Display stopped working 1.5 years. I'm less than impressed.

HMC80251UC Broke after only 14 months

I liked the unit until it stopped working. Bosch claims they provide quality products, but it’s not the case. They don’t even stand by their products when they are defective.

Poor design and manual

Am happy with rest of my Bosch kitchen, but the Speed Oven leaves a lot to be desired. The design puts forth only a feeble ring even if set up to highest setting. The preheat bars are barely visible even if set up to highest setting. As a former technical writer, the manual makes assumptions on the part of the user and therefore is missing steps. Writers should be advised to test every one of their instructions and not assume the user knows anything. I am very disappointed with this unit and hop...

Terrible quality

I really wish I could love this microwave oven. I have replaced several parts one of which was covered under warranty as it failed right out of the box. I thought that spending more money for a quality product would lead to longer appliance life. Not with this product.
