Easy to use and very durable

I used this to patch up my shed which is slowly rotting away. After cleaning up the bad wood and filling the gaps with this stuff, I got a great patch. I've never worked with this before, but the result is very hard and I sanded it to blend nearly perfectly with the wood around it. When this shed finally does give up the ghost, I'm sure the Bondo will be holding strong.

Live edge countertops

We used this to create a live edge on our countertop before installing epoxy and it worked perfectly!

Great for wood

Easy to sand & very strong. However hardens VERY QUICKLY, mix small amounts at a time & layer.

Work fast!

Use this in a well-ventilated area--it really stinks. And, it set up fast--faster the warmer it is. Make only enough to work in 2-3 minutes. But I used to to patch old doorknob holes (adding a foam core, so the putty was not too thick) and a crack in masonry. Worked well.

I prefer this to the standard wood filler most use if staining the wood. It's only problem is you must work very fast to get it applied before it starts to harden. I also use a digital scale to weight the putty and hardener to get a more accurate mix. The proper ratio is i gram hardener to 30.4 grams putty. Mix and apply quickly. You can rough finish the surface before full hardening to make the process quicker.

Easier than I thought

This was my first time to use a Bondo product. I wanted to fill some areas on the face and bottom of a metal exterior door that had rusted through. After sanding rusted areas, scraping off some loose metal, and treating with a rust neutralizer... bondo repair

I used this on a drywall patch I did and it was quick and the patch is practically non-noticeable. I came across this idea on you-tube and decided to try it for myself. Boy was I surprised and happy with the results.

Great stuff

Was not sure if I can use it to repair rotten door jamb, it actually worked really well. Took out the rotten part, filled the hole with wood, use the compound to fill the gaps, it hardened like a rock. Great.

Easy to use, versatile product

I enjoy DIY projects, but in no way a guy who can do or fix anything. I learn and try. I had some minor wood rot around some windows and gave this a try. It was easy to use and manipulate, but does dry fast. There are many other uses for this product and will keep some on hand at all times.

Used it to fix damage to HardiePlank® lap siding.

My yard service people aren't particularly careful when edging around my garage, or when applying mulch and/or river rock to enhance my wife's flower beds. Perfect prep makes finished product better

When painting surfaces like Formica counter tops patching every blemish like burns, cuts, & chips really makes the final product look its best. 2 or 3 layers with lots of sanding. Use a Mouse sander starting with 80 grit, then 120 & finally 220. Prime first then paint. Customers are blown away.

Easy to Use

I had two old farm doors that needed lots of repairs, bondo to the rescue. Easy to use, sands nicely with good results.

great product

I did not notice that the light color was available. Love it due to color, not the red that I have used many years to do patching repairs. I like the product and the variety of applications.

Works as described

Used to fill several large dents, 1/4 - 1/2 inch deep, in built in shelves prior to repainting. Filled in well and sanded smooth. Good hard finish.
