Works great for hanging bycycles and heavy cables

I bought this to hang my mountain bike and it works great. I also got a couple for hanging heavy wiring test cables at the shop where I work. Takes a heavy load and does the trick.

Great bike hooks.

These worked great in our overhead for our bikes. The rubber coating works perfect for not damaging the wheels or paint.

Good product

I used these hooks to hang two bikes to the ceiling of my garage. They have been up for about 2 weeks now so they are doing the job. They are a little thick and I was nervous they might split the wood once I screwed them in, but everything turned out ok. Good product and didn't cost a lot.

Great Value

I was told that if WalMart did not have a bike hanging hook, that Lowe's would have it. I was surprised at the selection I had and the low price of the one we used to hand the bike. The only problem I had was in starting it in the 2" X 4" board we had in the ceiling of the closet - you've got to have a starter hole for the first few inches of the hook. I really liked the rubber coating, which, I'm sure, will not scratch the wheel frame.

I bought 5 of these for the "Bike Cave" section of my garage where I store my and my friends' bikes. These hooks were the best option the Lowe's carried, they looked great. Nice, heavy duty, thick protective coating, large space for ease of hanging bikes, etc. No other product they had in stock really came close in appearance. Unfortunately, after just a few weeks of hanging, the coating has torn and peeled completely off the hook where the wheel hangs. We're talking about 25 lb bikes here, and ...

Cheap and Easy

I purchased several of these hooks after considering much more expensive options to hang a few bicycles and spare wheels in our apartment. These hooks do the job just fine, whether used vertically or horizontally. Easy to install so long as you can find a stud.

This hanger provides a quick and easy way to hang even a heavy bicycle. It is best to predrill a hole a little smaller than the mounting threads. If attached to a solid wood backing, like a joist or 2x4, it works fine. If using one hook, a bicycle balances well when hung from the top frame bar near the seat (or the seat itself).
