What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this penetrating oil for its exceptional ability to dissolve rust and free seized bolts, nuts, and corroded parts where competitors like WD-40 fail. Reviewers consistently report it works within minutes on severely aged rust, calling it their go-to solution and best on the market. Many highlight its reliability and superior performance compared to alternatives. However, a significant drawback emerges: customers frequently report cans lose propellant pressure prematurely, leaving product unusable despite half the can remaining. ProStraw nozzles also receive criticism for poor quality. A few mention the strong odor as a minor downside. Despite packaging frustrations, most consider the product's penetrating power worth the inconvenience.

Would RecommendPB Blaster has been my “Go To” for freeing up rusted or corroded parts for years, everything from manhole covers to bicycle chains and gear sets

Don't expect overnight results
I purchased this penetrating oil to use on a plumbing fixture. The set-screw holding the spout on my tub had corroded over time, and it was impossible to break loose "dry". I have applied this penetrant half a dozen times over a week, allowing it to soak in and drip off. So far - the set screw is still locked solid. I am giving it 3 stars as I expect continued application will eventually allow me to remove the screw. I am basing this on others' reviews across the internet. However, don't expect...

Not a good option to break loose a plastic cap
Would Not RecommendI purchased this penetrant with the hope that it would help me loosen a plastic cap that was seized in a metal pump housing on a pressure washer pump. I suspected that it would not be a miracle solution, and it actually did little to help in my situation. I imagine it works well on metal / metal contact issues, but I cannot recommend it for my specific need. I ended up using a drill, chisel and rotary tool to eventually remove the cap. I am rating the material at a "3" due to my specific exp...

Would use again.
Would RecommendGenerally worked well. I have an older house and many of the fixtures and appliances have not been worked on in a while. I needed to replace a washing machine and we have lived here over twelve years. I was afraid I might have trouble disconnecting supply lines to the washer. I was right. They were frozen. I used this product to free up the supply valves over the utility sink by the washer, where the supply lines come in. I also lubed the connections to the supply lines themselves. After a shor...

Check expiration date??
Would Not RecommendI must have purchased an old can as the bolt never budged. I used most of can on a 1/2" bolt over letting it set in over many days. Still had to call a repair person to just remove the bolt.

Need to remove a stuck garden hose?
Would RecommendMy garden hose was rusted onto the spiggot. I thought I would have to saw off the connection using a Hacksaw or maybe have to call a plumber, but it was recommended that I try PB Blaster, it worked as advertised. Within minutes or spraying this stuff on the hose twice I was able to remove the stuck hose using just a wrench. Totally worth the $6.00 I spent.

super great!
This works really well, but make sure to use it outside. Even with all the windows open I got a headache after using it.
ProStraw makes B'laster a D'Saster
Would Not RecommendAs with many other customers, PB has been my go-to rust penetrant for years, but I am about to switch to a competitor because the packaging has rendered the product completely useless. The dispenser straw is awkwardly sized and fragile, and the cans often run out of propellant after dispensing only 1/2 - 3/4 of the penetrant. Disappointing to say the least.
