Igniter is Crap

piece of aluminum pipe with a valve for $50, what a joke. Bernzomatic got me twice, igniter fails after about 20 lights. Total garbage, worth about $5, not $50.

Weed and grass pulverizer, grill fire starter

This product is fantastic. I use the green coleman camping bottles with it, ery lightweight and works magnificently for killing unwanted vegetation. I use it on the sidewalk and driveway joints to kill the vegetation. I also use it to edge my driveway and get the grass off and out of my fence. I use on green alive vegetation. ⚠️ WARNING ! Reasonably inexpensive. Easy to use. Time will tell if it's very effective. I used 1 can of propane for about 250 square feet. Weeds started popping up within a day, but I have a lot of weeds in my gravel driveway. Maybe it will take several tries.

Its so controllable, therefore I have a solid sense of confidence I will operator safely. The larger units scare me. Even though I consider this dangerous if not mindfully operated, the products attributes are predictable, containable and manageable.

I bought this torch based on a strong positive wirecutter review. I used it mainly to control weeds in a dry creek bed. It's a great alternative to hand-pulling or chemical control. As other reviewers noted, the ignition is now intermittent and I'm having to start with a lighter instead. The flame was also going out when the propane was low, but that seems fine with a new tank.

Definitely kills weeds at the root, and fun to do. Time consuming and uses a lot of fuel so it's expensive compared to RoundUp.

Performed as advertised. Made light work on burning flower bed weeds

Used itonce for under 10 minutes to get a feel of it since it was my first time using a torch. I got my tasks prepared two days later and it will not light. I changes out the tank to a brand new one and still nothing. I specifically purchased this type to keep from having to light with a lighter/match. I'll return it hopefully with no pro lem since I now don't have a receipt.
