B&D Single Serve leaves a bitter taste in mouth

Even after cleaning twice with vinegar and twice with clear water the plastic smell is still there. The mug temperature on the OUTSIDE was 45c so be careful when you pick it up. After the first try I discovered I needed twice the amount of coffee grounds to get the same taste as a plain pour over. Also, the acrid, plastic taste is still very noticeable in the coffee. I hope this will stop.

Bring back the perfect DCM 18!

I'll cut right to the chase: this one leaves a lot to be desired. The DCM 18 had it right; left very little water in the receptacle (after brewing); didn't have to "snap" the lid into place (all you had to do was set it down); and finally, you didn't have to be overly cautious that you might spill the water when pouring (as there is plenty of room in the DCM 18). Please bring back the DCM 18, or re-engineer the newer design. Thank you.

Don’t work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received as a xmas gift. The star switch does not work. Can you help me.

Disappointing

The description says it can be used with pods. Manufacturers of coffee capsules (coffee in a small plastic cup with a foil lid) call them pods. This coffee maker uses soft pods, which are like tea bags. That is not explained nor pictured in the description. I bought something that I cannot use in the way I intended.

poor mesh filter design

The tab on the mesh filter has broken twice (on 2 different filters!) Needs to be redesigned to be more sturdy!

So far, so good

I am a middle school teacher and I love having this to make a quick cup of tea for inspiration through the school day. Easy to use, so far so good.

I love this little machine

This machine is great! I don't have to waste money on little cups required for most single serve brewers and I don't make unnecessary waste for the environment.It makes a great cup of coffee, and I can make a stronger or weaker cup by using more or less coffee. Single Serve Coffee Maker

Very nice! Works great! I like the simple convenience of this coffee maker, and the included car cup keeps it hot.

It was great until it stopped working

So happy with the product until it just stopped working one day. Not a long term thing. Good for shy of 2 years. Will not purchase another one again.

need to have a better drip system to stop dripping when taking out mug, always a few more drips if machine moved in slightess way

Horrible

My grandmother bought this for me Horrible doesn’t work not effective whatsoever One cup filled makes 1/6 of a cup Would need to run it through 6 times to get 1 cup I’d rather do what I’ve been doing for my tea Boiling water in a pot

Bad Choice

I bought this coffee maker twice. Both units lasted less than a year. The unit stops brewing abruptly and you have to keep pushing the button to get a full cup. Save your money and buy something else.

Great for office

I have it at work on my desk. Makes a decent cup of coffee to start my day at work.

Not what I expected

I just purchased this and have had 2 problems. The first being that the xup came without a lid. Not a huge problem but inconvenient. Second, it never brews an entire cup. It continuously shuts off after brewing barely any water. I have went through 2 cycles of water and have to press the start multiple times for it to brew the entire cup that it came with. It is not efficient, and not what i expected.

Keeps Shutting Off

I asked to get this for Christmas because I know it was big enough to fit my Kwik Trip Caruba Gold refillable mug and I got I was pretty excited but it keeps shutting off every time I triy to make coffee and I have to keep hitting on button again in order for it to fill up

Water Drained Straight Through the Unit

I’m so disappointed. I got this for my fiancée for Christmas and the first time he went to use it, the water drained almost immediately through the bottom of the unit. We tried troubleshooting to see what we were doing wrong but it is definitely the machine. We can see straight through the reservoir through the bottom, why is there hole in our reservoir?!!? Ridiculous, so disappointed.

Coffee all over...

I bought it a month ago, problem is every time I use it coffee grounds end up all over the place. It doesn't matter what kind of coffee I use whether course or fine ground, it ends up flowing all over the inside of coffee maker and in coffee mug. Very, very unsatisfactory results. Coffee filter needs a filter basket cover.

Defective right out of the box

Just arrived today and when I tried it it only stayed on for 30 seconds and brewed less than an ounce of water before turning off and stopping. Sending back immediately.
