Love it!

I bought this not too long ago and tried it out this weekend! Waffles came out done pretty well, the batter didnt overflow, and the cleanup was easy. Read the instructions and enjoy your product.

Used it the day it arrived. It did not disappoint.

Have only had it 2 days. It made perfect waffles the first time. Easy to "cure". Easy to clean and store. We like it very much.

Fluffy soft waffle

Made a great fluffy soft waffle. There was a piece that was chipped off of the handle when I got it out of the box. Had to super glue it back on.

It just worked two months. Very bad quality

Bad quality, it worked 2 months. I tried to repair it but it was not possible.

Great Waffle Iron

I have been wanting a waffle iron for years! So glad I bought this one! Easy to operate and the waffles come out perfectly! Great investment!

Works well!!

Used it a few times. The amount you put in and the viscosity (thickness) of batter is very important. Follow directions besides a few things. I did use Pam spray worked well. Says to cook until steam stops, but they will burn that way. Here's what I do. Put batter in and let it flow a bit then close lid. Wait 10 seconds and then do the flip thing. When ready light on other side goes on it's golden. Each 2 seconds after that light comes on makes a difference. I count to 4-5 Mississippi and it's p...

After a year, it's not nonstick anymore

I have used this every weekend for a year. I wiped the pan with kitchen paper towels after use. After a year, It's not non-stick anymore. Very disappointed. And it seems I can't replace the pan.

3 years work - excellent

of course I will advise you to visit Liege (Belgium) and try there best waffles ever, but if you skilled a little bit and can cook using recipe from internet you need this machine to make it easier faster and will help you save money on waffles purchased in store. we use it for Belgian waffles, pancakes as sweet as sour one

Does a great job of cooking waffles, however....

I have only made waffles with it about 8 times and the hinge just broke. Is there any way to get replacement pieces to push in the sides where the lid pivots? This seems to be a weak point from other reviews. Has anything been done to remedy this weakness?

Totally sucks!!

I barley bought this 2 days ago since I love other black and decker products....but real real terrible waffles being the first time my boyfriend tried them and he hated them....so embarrassing. They came out all soggy and all discolored not one normal golden brown color and it releases a nasty chemical taste. Would definitely NOT recommended at ALL.

Great waffles & Bad hinges

We were given the waffle maker as a present. It makes great waffles but the hingle pegs holding it together is made of a brittle plastic. The hinges spontaneously broke into pieces after a few months.

Poor quality

This appliance is poorly made. It is assembled using special screws that fall out and you cannot tighten them back because of the proprietary screw heads. So now I have a wafflemaker that falls apart every time I use it. I would return it if I had the receipt. This one is poorly made. Don't buy this one!!!

Has been working 17+ years (with broken hinges)

The hinges broke within a year. IMPORTANT: Otherwise, the waffle maker has been working flawlessly for 17+ years (a wedding present). It heats up quickly and produces great waffles. If it ever stops working I would buy the same WMB500 again.

Nice but hinges broke very quickly

The waffle maker makes great waffles but the hinges broke as soon as we got it and I wasn't expecting that. They shouldn't break anyway so that is a big flaw for me.

I have had this waffle maker for a while and absolutely love it but the hinges broke shortly after receiving it. The top of the waffle make doesn't stay up now.

Worst waffle maker!

Received it as a gift and was so excited to use it. Boy what a big disappointment. Doesn't heat up properly and doesn't even cook the waffles after 7 mins. I don't recommend this product at ALL
