Definite design flaws

Great suction for missed dust, very heavy unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has great suction to remove any hidden dust and fur. It's a very heavy unit to push/pull for regular cleaning. The hose is HORRIBLE. It doesn't stretch more than a few inches then the unit falls over. The turbo attachment is fantastic for cushions and small areas.

Pretty good vacuum with a few design problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I like the vacuum, great suction especially for carpets (passable for bare floors). Biggest gripe is the suction controller slides too easily and often adjusts itself to a lesser suction. Also, the hose constantly unhooks from the wand when using the brush and crevice tool. Very irritating. I still would reommend particularly for carpet vacuuming.

Perfect vacuum

It's really easy to clean, the replacement parts (e.g. filters) are easy to remove, clean, and replace, the canister is large, and Bissell's customer service is great.

Did not work well for long

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum had great reviews for pet hair, so I veered away from Oreck which I had previously used. It worked well initially but quickly began to fizzle. I would empty the canister every time I used it thinking it would help, but it did not. Suction was not great, and dog hair and crumbs were left even after going over a spot multiple times. Then just last week after having it only one year, it blew up. Burning smell and started shooting bits ...

If it lasts, I will definitely buy again.

Vacuum Scam

It worked great for the first 5 months, but now going on 6 months of use it is totally crapping out on me. The spinner brush stopped working, a small wheel popped off, and it won't pull pet hair out of the rug anymore. I'm extremely disappointed in my purchase since I chose not to go with a cheaper model. I researched pet vacuums and decided on this one. I absolutely love it. The first time using it I emptied the canister 3 times before finishing.

It is heavy to push on the carpet, which we only have carpet in the living room and bedroom. However, it also does well on our hardwood floors! Great choice!

It picks up cat hair from my area rugs and sofa better than my much more expensive Miele. It also has a lighted crevice tool and power brush upholstery attachment. Overall great buy. I'd definitely recommend it.
